[ Romelle decided to find an out-of-the-way grove to set up camp for the night and figured that she might as well send out a message. She hasn't seen any familiar faces yet, but that doesn't mean that they're not around. Her Growlithe curls on her lap to keep her warm while she sets up her 'gear.

Mumbling: ] The red light is on, so it must be... Oh, hello! My name is Romelle and I'm a new "Trainer." I am not quite sure what that means and that woman rushed me out of the house before really answering any of my questions.

[ She huffs a little. It was rather rude. ]

Anyway. If anyone out there has advice or information for a new Trainer, I would greatly appreciate it.

[ She gives the camera a small and slightly self-conscious wave before turning off her 'gear. ]

Good. Hang in there. If he's flying, he'll be there soon.

[He should be, considering the Skarmory he has now...]

We'll see if we can get the place cleaned up a bit, before you get here.

[ Romelle smiles. They're already a place for her. It's a nice feeling. ]

Where is 'here'?

[ She knows she'll be there soon but she can't help but be curious anyway. ]

[Of course there's a place. He may not know her, but the others do. She knows them... and she needs a place to stay. So of course, he's going to offer.]

The team and I are staying in a house south of where you are. Here --

[He'll swing the camera slowly around the house. He's in the kitchen, now, but out the window is a clear view of the beach. Of the rolling waves, rolling Voltorbs, rolling Spheals... the Tropius munching palm leaves.]

-- I've been living here about a year now. The others moved in soon after.

[ Romelle and her Growlithe lean forward. She knows that's not how cameras work, but she can't help but be intensely curious the more she sees. The living space is far more personalized than the Garrison quarters she'd been assigned. ]

Is that the ocean?

[ She'd seen it from space and couldn't help being a little disappointed when they landed in a desert. ]

[He just beams at her. In the middle of the cluttered, but organized kitchen, with his dumb rainbow fluff of hair.]

Yeah. Ocean's right out the front door. Any time you want to see it.

[ Her smile brightens reflexively. He looks so... relaxed? Content? Happy?

Either way, being able to see the ocean every day sounds wonderful. Probably. She's never been to the ocean, but Lance made it sound really nice. ]

I've never actually seen an ocean before-- I suppose I won't know how much I like it until I arrive.

[Most days, yes. He sure is. Until someone on his team decides to get weird about something.]

What about a lake or a river?

[ To Romelle, they're always acting kind of weird. ]

Oh! Yes, we had those on the colony. I spent a lot of time at the river near my house.

Then think of it like a really... really big river. With water you shouldn't drink.

[He has to laugh a bit, because that's a terrible analogy.]

[ She gets the feeling that he's not quite describing it well, but she'll be there soon enough to see it for herself anyway. ]

Because it is made up of salt water, right?

[ Why it's made of salt water, she doesn't quite know. #justlittleEarththings ]

Right. You got it. You could drink it after you filter the salt out, but...

I'd advise against it.

I will... keep that in mind.

The creatures that dwell in the ocean-- are there any like those on the Earth we know?

Yeah, there's quite a few. A lot of fish... here's some crabs. Whales.

Armin knows the ocean best out of all of us. He'd be able to give you more details.

[ Fish, crabs, whales. Romelle only has a broad knowledge of Earth creatures, but she's absorbing every bit of information she can. ]

I hope he would be willing to teach me a little.

If I know Armin like I do... he'd be more than happy to teach you anything you want to know.

[More than happy. He's sure of it.]
