GHOST TRICK PART ONE: Festival Log!
Who: Everyone!
Where: Either Ecruteak City or Lavender Town; please mark your toplevel comments accordingly!
When: August 13th-15th
Summary: Celebrate O-bon at a festival near you! For details, see the infopost.
Rating: Will vary from thread to thread. Warn for common triggers if something comes up.
Log:
The streets are lined with NPC-run stalls for food, games, and the assorted tchotchkes of every summer festival you’ve ever seen in your animes! There’s Goldeen Scoop, heaping cones of Swirlix Candy, Test Your STRENGTH (there are two different machines for people and Pokémon; HM04 not required); basically, if you can think of it, it’s there. There will also be a yukata rental stall if you want to go full hog on the cultural side of things. Ecruteak boasts a small stage where the Kimono Girls give a short performance once every two hours; the festivities in Lavender Town are a little quieter, but they also have Haunter-shaped ice cream treats. When you lick them, they Lick you!
On the last evening (August 15th) of the festival in either location, there will be a large bonfire and traditional bon-odori dance in which everyone is welcome to participate. In Lavender Town only, they also set paper lamps afloat in the water past the cliffs.
The closer you get to midnight on the last night of the festival, the more ghosts pop up.
Again, please say which city your character's in and note what dates/times they're there in the header of or within your top--level comment to avoid confusion. Play nice and have fun!

[DD was a friendly enough Poochyena when Snake first met him and even know as a Mightyena he was just as loyal. A bit like his dog at home, hence the name. Yet, he did miss the battlefield. The adrenaline coursing through his veins. Dodging bullets and completing missions. It was what he was bred for.]
He's pretty cute. Your...Hap- Happiny. [Give him a moment with the name.]
I miss the battlefield though. Dodging bullets and missiles had it's charm.

Honestly, she and I don't...mesh very well.

[Born or created? He wasn't about to go into the fact that he was changed into another man to become that tool of war. He'd only discuss that with people he knew really well, or just didn't like talking about his past to anyone.]
Why don't you two get on?

[ For Asuka, doing what she does is a matter of pride, her reason to live. But Mari Makinami Illustrious is very different. She sings during her support fire. Gets a high off of the smell of gunpowder and LCL. Makes a show out of everything.
Asuka can't deny that Mari's good at what she does. That doesn't mean she has to be happy about it. ]
...It doesn't help that she's tough to rein in, even for the Major.
no subject
She sounds a handful. If she's the Major, what rank are you?
[Because Snake is starting to like you already. You seem a good person.]

I was part of a government agency called NERV, but, they had a bit of a...schism, so to speak. Most of NERV disbanded and went rogue to form a new organization called Wille, which is what I'm a part of now. We don't have much funding, because we had to get by with what we could out of pocket. NERV had the UN to help with their finances, but we, of course, weren't so lucky. We're short on staff, too; it was hard to find good men, considering our circumstances, so the staff on base is mostly made up of rookies and volunteers. But it's better than nothing.
Right now, it's basically war out there. NERV vs Wille.
