GHOST TRICK PART ONE: Festival Log!

Log:

The streets are lined with NPC-run stalls for food, games, and the assorted tchotchkes of every summer festival you’ve ever seen in your animes! There’s Goldeen Scoop, heaping cones of Swirlix Candy, Test Your STRENGTH (there are two different machines for people and Pokémon; HM04 not required); basically, if you can think of it, it’s there. There will also be a yukata rental stall if you want to go full hog on the cultural side of things. Ecruteak boasts a small stage where the Kimono Girls give a short performance once every two hours; the festivities in Lavender Town are a little quieter, but they also have Haunter-shaped ice cream treats. When you lick them, they Lick you!

On the last evening (August 15th) of the festival in either location, there will be a large bonfire and traditional bon-odori dance in which everyone is welcome to participate. In Lavender Town only, they also set paper lamps afloat in the water past the cliffs.

The closer you get to midnight on the last night of the festival, the more ghosts pop up.

Ha, coincidence workin’ in yer favor, right? Well, how are ya enjoyin’ the journey so far? I know some folks don’t care for movin’ around so much, although it’s never been a problem for me.

[Just to make sure nothing horrendous happens, Joker glances over at the mess that’s happening at the pool. Just a Goldeen trying to slap both other Pokemon in the face with her tail, no big deal.]

I don't mind it. I use to travel a lot back home. All over the place. So this isn't really anything new.

[At least it's more casual here. More easy going. Back home his entire journey had been because they were trying to stop Sephiroth and save the entire planet.

He glances over towards the pool as well and cracks a small grin at the sight as Gongaga attempts to splash the fish back.

Splash a fish. So smart, that one is.]

This place is a lot nicer to travel through.

Tell me ‘bout it. Easy ta get work no matter the town ya end up in, easy ta buy supplies if yer smart about spendin’ yer money, and the weather’s nice more often than not, even when it’s winter.

Ha. ‘Course, I might change my mind, as usual, when actual winter comes around. [He gets distracted and snorts.] Angel, no usin’ other Pokemon as shields!

[The Mime Jr, from where she’s been hiding behind Gongaga to not get splashed at so much, makes a noise of protest.]

Considering how odd the weather is sometimes? I'm almost scared to think what might happen come Winter.

[Snowdrifts from hell, that's what he's expecting.

Cloud glances over again and muffles a laugh at how distraught Gongaga looks at getting wet, but the Sylveon doesn't attempt to move either because clearly the other pokemon needed protecting right?]

You are allowed to move, Gongaga. [The Sylveon let's out a low whine before looking at Angel, wrapping it's tendrils around the other to lift her up and out of the way of the splashing with a proud chirp.]
