GHOST TRICK PART ONE: Festival Log!

Who: Everyone!
Where: Either Ecruteak City or Lavender Town; please mark your toplevel comments accordingly!
When: August 13th-15th
Summary: Celebrate O-bon at a festival near you! For details, see the infopost.
Rating: Will vary from thread to thread. Warn for common triggers if something comes up.
Log:

The streets are lined with NPC-run stalls for food, games, and the assorted tchotchkes of every summer festival you’ve ever seen in your animes! There’s Goldeen Scoop, heaping cones of Swirlix Candy, Test Your STRENGTH (there are two different machines for people and Pokémon; HM04 not required); basically, if you can think of it, it’s there. There will also be a yukata rental stall if you want to go full hog on the cultural side of things. Ecruteak boasts a small stage where the Kimono Girls give a short performance once every two hours; the festivities in Lavender Town are a little quieter, but they also have Haunter-shaped ice cream treats. When you lick them, they Lick you!

On the last evening (August 15th) of the festival in either location, there will be a large bonfire and traditional bon-odori dance in which everyone is welcome to participate. In Lavender Town only, they also set paper lamps afloat in the water past the cliffs.

The closer you get to midnight on the last night of the festival, the more ghosts pop up.

Again, please say which city your character's in and note what dates/times they're there in the header of or within your top--level comment to avoid confusion. Play nice and have fun!
foolishwren: and I'm a dancing frog in a top hat that keeps getting dragged off stage by a big hook. (gender is a performance)

[PLEASE DO]

... Heh, yeah.

I'm sure you're right.
usedgravity: (Pleasantly Uraraka)

[She wishes she still had her Quirk, so she could just float the cutie and have a suspended petting ball of fluff and happiness]

Even if we can't exactly speak, they really do like to communicate with us! It's super cute... oh, whoops, whoa there!

[For now though, Ochako will just have to catch Cheryl's front as she almost falls right out, holding her under her front legs and omigawd her little pawsies are so adorable]
foolishwren: unfortunately for you all I cannot wait to annoy you and make myself your problem. (good morning everyone)

--oh, jeeze.

Cheryl, maybe that's enough sleeve-riding. I don't know how to treat Pokemon concussions if you fall right onto the pavement.

[Helping Ochako support the little catfox's front paws, Heather slowly slides Cheryl out of the sleeve.]

... Hey, you wanna hold her?
usedgravity: (Blindingly Ochako)

[personal profile] usedgravity 2016-09-13 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
Eheh, yeah... it's times like these I miss being able to make things float!

[her eyes light up at that offer]

Can I really!?
foolishwren: what doesn't kill you gives you a lot of unhealthy coping mechanisms and a really dark sense of humor (well you know what they say...)

[personal profile] foolishwren 2016-09-14 03:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Sure!

Just promise you won't run off with her, as tempting as it is.

[Winking, Heather holds out the Eevee, whose tail is still wagging. Cheryl is very used to just kind of used to everyone wanting to hold her.]
usedgravity: (Such Ochako!)

[personal profile] usedgravity 2016-09-15 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
Eheheh, I'll try to resist...

[Luckily, she's rooted to the spot in sheer cuteness overload as she gets to hold Cheryl. So soft! So fluffy! Ochako can't resist nuzzling her face into that fur as she pets the Eevee]

Mmm, which evolution do you think is the softest to cuddle?
foolishwren: YA GIRL... (HEY DEMONS IT'S ME...)

[personal profile] foolishwren 2016-09-18 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, Flareon, definitely.

It's like hugging a giant fluffy pillow. That self-heats.

[The 'house Eevees', as they're called out of convenience, are definitely the cuddly sort. Everyone in the house is uniquely versed in the levels of softness throughout this evolution line.]
usedgravity: (The most Ochako)

[personal profile] usedgravity 2016-09-19 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
Oooh, that would be nice, especially in the winter!

[Think how much she could save on heating... but Cheryl's pretty soft and warm already as is]

Mmm, heheh, what do you think of becoming a flareon, huh, Cheryl?
foolishwren: is the phrase "going to chipotle with aristotle" funnier if you mispronounce 'chipotle', or 'aristotle'? (Hmmm...)

[personal profile] foolishwren 2016-09-19 05:52 pm (UTC)(link)
[The key to traveling in wintertime: always bring a Fire-type that is furry. Do not leave home/the Center/your hotel room without it.]

[Cheryl wags her tail again and chirps, not seeming put off by the idea.]

Heh, if I wanted her to be a Flareon, I'd have to use a Firestone on her....

[She trails off, thoughtfully. She does have a Firestone... she's had one in her bag for years on end, carefully wrapped up. Every so often she takes it out and looks at it, but always puts it back.]

[The thought of using it on Cheryl had never really occurred to her, and doesn't quite feel right, even with the little Eevee's non-oppositon to becoming a fluffy Fire-type.]
usedgravity: (How Ochako)

[personal profile] usedgravity 2016-09-20 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
[She'll have to get one... where do they keep the fletchlings?]

Hmm, are those hard to get?

[Someone is too poor to even consider going into the Goldenrod Department store, even if she usually lives right near it.]

foolishwren: *i take a pen and make it say 69 69 69* *the wall bleeds a little more to say beneath it: "nice"* (*walls start bleeding and spell 666*)

[personal profile] foolishwren 2016-09-23 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
Mm, not too hard... I know you can buy them in the Goldenrod Department Store-- or mail-order, if you're in a different town.

They can be pretty costly, though.
