[The feed opens on Joey and a Bisharp standing in front of a slot machine. Both wear ecstatic expressions as the machine dispenses coin-after-coin, and Joey holds a confused looking Dratini above his head as he cheers. Noise from the other machines and patrons occasionally cuts through the pair's exultation, but the majority of sound pouring through the feed comes from their cheers.]

Yo we did it! We made out like bandits!

[Joey thrusts the Dratini forward for the camera to see.]

Me and Hermos here have been killin' it on da slots, so dis lil' jackpot here marks twelve and a half grand we've managed to carve out! We got ourselves a big ol' chunk'a change and scored dis' heckin' baloon animal-lookin' Pokémon too! There's no stoppin' da wheels on da Joey Train!

Pretty much! I only sell eggs, though. If they hatch, they're staying.

Dat's... dat's gotta be a pretty heavy undahtakin',cuz takin' care'a one pet is already demandin' so I can only imagine what havin' a buncha dem is like. You got, like, land or somethin' for an Evee Ranch?

Thankfully, yes, I got a good deal on some property. They love to play in the grass.

[[My apologies for the delay in tags. I've been working to get the Journal Pages for Lucius and Joey actually presentable and that's been far more demanding than I expected. For Lucius at least, the end is in sight though so his Journal is finally looking good.]]

[Joey scratches at the back of his head.]

You gotta be doin' pretty good for yaself if you got a spot big enough for you and all dem' Evees. Good on ya! I'm shootin' for da stahs here myself, so I can only hope ta' do as good as you've done.

You know it! I'm gonna be all done explorin' Johto by Christmas, and den it's on ta Kanto! Lookin' at da map it looks like I'm gonna have all da warp pads by da end'a February, and den it's on to da Gyms!

Oh really? You don't think you'll get held up by inclement weather?

[Radley is amused but intrigued at Joey's plans.]

Half of it's gonna be in caves, so weatha won't be much of an issue. First-half is supposed'ta be smooth sailin anyhow so should be easy breezy!

[Joey snaps a thumbs-up.]

Only a couple'a towns, a lake, and den dis big friggin' ice cave. Dat's da part I'm da most worried about. Caves suck ta begin with, so an ice cave's gonna be da worst.

[Radley smirks darkly.]

Caves are not my favorite places either. The ice cave, though, I've meant to see if there might be any Glaceons hanging out there. Someone told me there are some sometimes.

[He's not sure he'll ever really get out there, but it's a thought.]

[Joey scratches at his chin and ponders.]

Would... would ya want me to try and grab one for ya? I'm going troo der' anyways, so it wouldn't be too hard.

[Radley smiles, touched.]

Really? That's really kind of you. I don't know if it's true that there's Glaceons there, but if there are, I'd definitely like one.

[Suddenly he wonders if people can get Pokemon for others. Will the Pokemon listen to someone who didn't catch them?]

[Joey looks through his bag at a variety of Pokéballs.]

I can even set aside a ball for ya! What kind you want it caught in? Dependin' on what kinda ball you want I can snag it n' you can have it match ya squad!

Oh, I'm fine with anything. Mostly I just use the regular kind.

[He hadn't found any need for other kinds, since the Pokemon wanted to go with him and he didn't battle them first.]

Alrighty den! I'll keep my eyes peeled for one'a dem den and get it to ya when I finish dah circuit 'round Johto. Should be done by Christmas doe, so it won't be too long.

Thanks! You certainly are moving fast. How do you manage to travel so quickly in all the snow?

While I ain't got da most experience with snow, I'm used ta hard-chargin' through all kindsa stuff. I used ta be on da track n' field team back in school so I got experience with runnin', but I got used to da long tracks with all da crap me n' Yuug been through.

[Joey gives a wide-eye as he recalls all the crap he and the gang had gone through.]

Between Duelist Kingdom havin' entire friggin' caves n' castles and da bakah's dozen'a virtual worlds I been to, makin'a cross-country trek is ops-nohmal for me by dis point.

Hmm. Well, I have to admit that makes sense.

From da forecast it looks like I'll be able to ride my bike most'a da way to Mahogany, but dem Ice Caves are gonna be a pain in da butt. Looks like da weatha's gonna be pretty doggone warm for da first week doe, so dat's gonna be really nice. Should be back well in time for da holidays doe, so it'll be cool ta kick-it for a week or two.

[Joey gives a smile.]

I got a couple'a restaurants I wanna hit up while I'm on vacation, so-ta-speak, and da cash I nabbed while I was at da Game Cornah is gonna be nice for treatin' myself! You gonna be anywhere near Goldenrod for da holidays? Maybe we could kick it!

That's good you have a bike. I was definitely relieved to get one.

Lookin' at da map it seems Kanto is way more bike friendly den Johto's been, so I'm lookin' forwahd to puttin' dat sucka' through it's paces come da new year. Gonna be cruisin through dem towns!

[Joey makes a wooshing noise as he moves his hand to mime a miniature him racing at high-speeds.]

Short'a da weatha kickin' my butt, I should be able to hit just about every place in Kanto in just unda two months! Den it's gonna be hittin' da trainin to get all da boys ready for takin' on da bosses.

I'm no good at plannin' stuff like dis normally, so I'm tryin' ta do bettah and actually look ahead on all'a dis.

[He sighs.]

With things cold as they're lookin' ta be, too, I really can't be playin it fast n' loose when it comes ta travellin. One bad move and I'm stuck out in da freezin' cold with no town for days. I like gamblin' an' all, but I don't wanna be rollin' da dice on somethin' like dat.

Oh yes, I very much agree. That is not something to mess with.

Dat's one'a da things I'm really lookin' forward to come da spring. I should have all da places knocked-out by den, so when I staht hittin' da gyms it won't be hoofin' it town-ta-town.

[A relaxed look spreads across Joey's face as he describes it, and he leans back with his arms folded behind his head as he continues.]

It'll be nice weathah, I can just pop right ta where I need ta go, and I can actually enjoy myself when I'm in each'a da different gym towns. Gonna be all kinds'a different from the icy dash dat findin' da places has been.
