Event: The Reveal Glass

Across the Pokémon world, characters may have spotted a falling star last night. Or at least, one would think that's what it was: a naturally occurring phenomenon, rather than a legendary artifact. Specifically, the Reveal Glass fell to earth during a fight among a group of legendaries started by the return of a long-lost family member. But it's probably best to leave them to handle all that themselves, while your characters deal with other consequences.

The Reveal Glass shattered upon impact, and the shards scattered throughout Kanto, Johto, and the Sevii Islands… And made their way into the hearts of your characters. But bleeding isn't the concern here. Instead, the impact will hit when a character first looks into any reflective service. An eerie feeling hits them as they're transported to the Mirror Dimension.

While this realm can be many different things for different characters, one thing is always true: It is a place of honesty, where true selves are revealed. Those struck by a shard will find themselves facing truths they are no longer able to hide, and now must accept. Fortunately enough, even those who haven't been struck will be able to enter the Mirror Dimension during this event via a reflective surface to offer help. By the end of the 29th, things will return to normal. Characters will be back in the usual Pokémon world and their hearts will be rid of the shards, but time is strange in the Mirror Dimension, and the experience may feel like it goes on far longer than a day. Or, maybe that's just the emotional exhaustion.

It's an impressive miracle that Emporio doesn't break into tears over the statement about bodies. But, if Harry is willing to do the hard part of helping the boy up to guide him away, he'll have some success. Let's find that exit!

Without saying anything urgent, he immediately gets started to get both himself and Emporio out of the dimension as he shows him the way that he had taken upon arriving in this place. He first offers him his hand so he wouldn’t get lost as they leave.

Once he does that, he carefully walks across the water, being mindful of where he steps on and avoiding any bodies that could be floating in the water.

Step by step. They'll get out step by step, and Emporio shakily takes that hand. He clutches it like a lifeline, and there might be a bit more to that in itself. What was it Emporio was worried about? People being taken down next?

Being killed...for him?

Emporio doesn't say nothing, and ahead can be seen their way out. Shining, like a mirror, now a passage for them both.

Just a bit more...

The other man is able to see the shining light that will take them to a safe passage back to the real world. They are so close in reaching it right now and honestly he could sure use a break after this. Having seen the floating bodies in the water did brought back memories of the battle of Hogwarts and remembering them did hurt Harry’s heart a lot but he hopes that Emporio will eventually recover from this.

They made to get out of the water and back on dry land where the passage awaits for them to get back to the real world. He does make sure to see if there are nothing dangerous trying to go after them but so far nothing alarming have been found within his line of sight so they might as well leave the dimension right away.

Out they go- through the light, and through the glass-

And rather abruptly things will be quite off balance, what with Emporio abruptly being a good deal taller.

"Oo-F!"

Excuse him, he's falling flat on his face in...wherever they are.

Where on earth did Harry enter the mirror world from anyway?

Goodness, it has been a while since he has seen the familiar sights of Olivine City before the Reveal Glass incident began. He is still feeling disoriented from arriving back from the mirror dimension but he can still see the city lighthouse not far from where they landed on.

And that is when he realized that they are now out of the dimension and back to reality: seeing the grass and rocks on the ground. He thought that they might have arrived at a city park.

“Phew! I can’t believe that we’re now out of there.”

"Ugh...I feel so nauseous..."

It takes time for the memory of what just happened to really catch up. Emporio holds his knees as he tries to stand, feeling more than a little fatigued. "I..."

Finally, he voices the most necessary question.

"Did that really just...happen..?"

“Um, yeah. It certainly did, Emporio. And to be honest, I initially thought that it was some strange dream I just fell into when I first started on this whole dimension hopping trip,” he sheepishly admits to him.

"Ugh...I..."

...What does he even say. He remembers it, but it's hazy and dizzying, like it's going through a filter. Not to mention what the material of the memories forming that place were like.

"...I'm sorry you saw all that," he manages, but even that doesn't feel like the right thing to say.

“It’s alright, there is nothing to worry about now: I was very familiar with that kind of scene myself back at home. Not exactly the most pleasant to see or witness but it was something that I could understandably relate to.”

"Still, it..."

It what, exactly? Emporio isn't sure. The teenager sighs, and looks away. "...I wasn't exactly...acting like myself back there though, is the thing..."

“…As in what was in the mirror dimension is real? If I had to guess, it seems like the mirror dimension tries to emulate whatever dark secrets and pain we still clung onto and it tries to amplify them greatly to mess with our heads.”

He had been to Radley and Bo’s mirror dimensions by now so he does have a feeling that the similarities despite their differences were there in some form.

"I guess..? ...I... ...I just didn't feel like me, in there. It felt real but it didn't..."

That might have a bit to do with having looked like a child the whole time. Disorienting, for sure.

“No kidding. The disorienting feeling of the place trying to mimic the worst moments of our lives did almost felt very real.”

That has him thinking. Maybe he and Emporio should try to forget what they went through with hanging out with each other for a little bit. Anything to distract them from what they have seen/went through in the mirror dimension for the time being.

“So um. Do you want to do something to keep those rough memories at bay for the time being?”

Does he want that?

Emporio chews his lip. "...What would you suggest?"

Because he...has nothing.

“How about if we can go to the nearest place to sit in and talk about other things instead?” Harry politely suggests to him, “Maybe even getting something to eat or drink if you’re up to it?”

Before he could say anything, one of his PokéBalls opens up to reveal a young Sentret appearing in front of them and greeting them in a cheerful tone, “Sentret. Sentret, Sentret. Sen, Sentret, Sen-Tret!”

Something to eat and drink...

"...Yeah. Food might be good. I-"

There is a sentret here. Emporio blinks, idly realizing that he might still be in shock.

"...Huh. Hey there," he greets even so.

Oh my. It looks like one of Harry’s newest Pokémon decided to come out and play right now. He didn’t expect the Sentret to escape his PokéBall so soon but at least this is a nice change from the depressing seaside scene in the mirror dimension.

“Wow Dobby. Deciding that now is the time to get out of your ball right away, isn’t that right, little guy?”

“Sen-Tret!” the Sentret happily squeaks.

"Heh. Excitable I take it..? Sentret always made me think of raccoons, weirdly enough. They're not as brown in the books, but the ring tails are the same at least."

Talking trivia is a coping mechanism, he promises,

“Oh yes. He sure is very excitable. Right, that is true. The rings of their tails does remind one of raccoons very much, even though I don’t usually see raccoons in the UK outside of books on them and zoos. They aren’t exactly native to that part of the world as far as I’m aware.”

Dobby wiggled his ears again as he happily speaks, “Sentret, Sentret, Sentret.”

"Apparently they're all over a little more north...not just in forests, but cities too. They're an invasive species in some countries too..."

He stoops down, offering a hand to try and pet the Sentret. "...It's nice seeing pokemon here honestly. There's so many different kinds, more than anything I'd have seen at home."

“Sentret! Sen, Tret!” Yes Emporio, the Sentret is just begging you to pet him right now; Dobby is hoping to get some right now.

“Me too. I don’t usually get to see so many animals a lot. I have studied about all sorts of magical creatures in my world but I’m still amazed by how many and diverse the Pokémon in this world are. They are very interesting things about them that are just waiting to be discovered.”

Dobby will be getting plenty of pets then. All the pets!

"How'd you study them all if you didn't get to see them often..? ...Or were you at least able to see those ones?"

“I’m more familiar with the more magical creatures than with normal animals but I had this textbook on magical creatures in my school that we used for some classes. I even got to befriend some along the way, like hippogriffs and thestrals for example,” Harry tells him, “They are quite gentle creatures as long as you’re able to be kind to them.”

“Sentret, Sentret, Sentret.”

"That's more than I've ever had. I think I can guess what a hippogriff would look like but...what's a Thestral?"
