[Cloud's frowning softly when he appears on the network, attempting to figure out this strange device he found on his person upon waking up. It's similar enough to the phones he's used for him to at least get it turned on but it's still strange enough that it has him unsettled.

As does the strange sword...thing.]

...Tifa? Barrett? If either of you are seeing this, I would appreciate an explanation.

[Because this had to be some sort of strange joke.

The camera gets jarred around as Cloud suddenly side steps and when it does focus again anyone watching can now see a Honedge as well, one that the blonde is eyeing rather warily.]

For where I am and what that is.

[Because he really wasn't keen on believing anything that man had said. His first thought had been 'fiend!' but he'd seen a lot of fiends before. Fought a lot of fiends. This? This was just...yeah. No. Whatever it was he didn't want it.]

I also want to know where my motorcycle is. I'd like to get back to Edge sometime today.

[Shutting off his new little device--Pokégear?--Cloud tucked it away into one of his many pockets, the backpack he'd been given slung absently over his shoulder. Beside him, the Honedge he'd received from the professor was peering at him in a wary yet curious manner, sizing the blonde up almost.

At least that's what it seemed like to Cloud.

The blonde frowned before making himself look away, glancing around the town itself before he focused on the road leading out. He couldn't be on a different continent, that would be just a little too over the top for whatever sort of prank this was.

Had to be.

With that in mind the blonde started walking and made it a few feet before he paused and glanced over his shoulder. The Honedge was trailing behind him and immediately stopped when he did, an odd sound coming from the creature that had Cloud's frown deepening.]

Find someone else to bother.

[Because he really didn't want anything to do with this. He had way too much stuff to be working on back in Edge.]

I have been here but a few weeks. Some have been here for several years.
[ So he's basically forwarding information he's heard. His voice is rough as he talks, hiding his unease. ]
People come and leave at any time, but not by choice.

[Is that... is that a pokemon? So far she's only met ones that looked like animals so a floating sword is... pretty out there! But she can't think of anything else it might be so... and apparently it was trying to follow that man. Was that its new trainer? It might be none of her business, but... she doesn't want to see the poor thing abandoned.]

[Cloud looks away from the odd sword thing to the source of the voice. It's not anyone he's familiar with so there's no softening to his expression, no slightly friendlier air about him.

Just that same neutral air as he gives her a somewhat dry look.]

It's not mine.

[Except it was, according to that professor. And the Honedge seems rather offended by the implication as it makes that strange sound again and tries to move closer to Cloud--

Who promptly takes a step back.]

[That's kind of intimidating, but she will persevere! No pokemon left behind, even weird sword ghosts! She steps with them as well, following]

Are you sure? I mean, everyone was given a pokemon when they got here... and it seems pretty attached to you!

[A sword Pokemon? Mafuyu's been travelling off the road in the tall grass surrounding in order to find more Pokemon, but this is one she hasn't seen on route 29 before. She's made the mistake of charging in to capture rare Pokemon, only to find out they have owners already and the battle to capture becomes a normal Pokemon battle, so she pushes through the grass, waving to get his attention.]

Hey! Hey, is that yours? The sword!

[She looks excited regardless of his answer. Swords are so cool; she used to have a wooden one she'd carry, but never the real thing. Anyone would look badass swinging a sword Pokemon around.]

[Pausing in his trek through the grass, Cloud looks over to the girl only to wince and send a glare over his shoulder as his honedge runs right into him. The sword looks anything but apologetic, ribbon-y hand waving it's sheath about as it eyes Cloud.

...Brat.

His attention returns to the girl and he gives a slight nod.]
