[The homunculus is about as impressed with this shit as her mun is with this icon selection.

It's cool though, she's not going to bother trying to understand what's going on or train or anything. She's just going to hang out - you know, wherever - with the awesome water pokemon she seems to have acquired.

You know, because they get her.

This probably would have been a better starter if I did it in my sleep, last night.]

[Even running by, Envy recognizes her out of the corner of his eye and doubletakes hard. The turn he makes is so sharp and sudden that his heels make furrows in the dirt, although by the time he gets closer to her he's slowed to more of a jog. Enough that the little shiny Salandit that was clinging onto his back can pop up over his shoulder instead.]

[HEY FRIEND HE HASN'T SEEN YOU IN YEARS AND ALSO YOU DIED. And in hindsight, he'd given more of a shit about her than he'd thought at the time. They'd gotten along well enough, and there was something to be said for having similar views on their past lives, for having been, technically, abandoned by the same guy. Envy's not expecting her to be enthusiastic BACK because she's just...not really ever. But it's good to see her.]

[...holy shit she has a Psyduck. Envy lets his face go right into a much more expected amused smirky grin.]

[Well now, that was an unexpected voice. Just what was Envy doing anyway?

Sloth smirks some at the other's apparent surprise, shrugging her shoulders lazily.]

Yes, Envy I believe it is. The others come and go, but ... this one reminds me of Wrath.

[As in it never leaves and seems oddly clingy. She holds out a pokeball, as if Envy would be just as clueless about all of this as she was.]

It came out of this, the strange thing hasn't left since.

[Envy is just. Busy enjoying the twice yearly return of his powers. Gotta go fast.]

[But he snickers at the explanation--of all the Pokemon to act like Wrath, he wouldn't have expected a Psyduck to be it.]

Yeah, that means it's yours then. This's one of mine. [He points up at the Salandit, now perched neatly on his shoulder.]

Wrath's here too, actually. Somewhere.

...Hey, what's the last thing you remember before you showed up here? Humor me.

[She doesn't know anything about power loss, Envy. Sucks to be you. Honestly, any pokemon that stuck by her side would remind her of Wrath, the same as any that she might spot following after Lust would suddenly resemble Gluttony in a way.

It has so much more to do with their loyalty. She regards the Salandit quietly for a moment, looking about as unimpressed as always.]

Wrath should be taking care of Edward, I left him with Lust to retrieve the Stone for our Master.

[Kidnapping a giant suit of armor can be pretty easy if you can control it from the inside. Bonus if the boy's dumb enough to not want to kill you despite your obviously murderous intentions.

She doesn't seem at all remotely concerned about being whisked away mid-kidnapping to wind up here instead. After all, she's confident things will work themselves out, all she needs to do is locate the boy once more.]

Wrath's here... Is Alphonse?

[Well that answers that question...Sloth doesn't know that Lust has turned traitor yet, or he imagines she'd be telling him all about it. She doesn't know that she's going to die. Or...whatever had become of her after she'd been transmuted.]

[He's sure not going to tell her.]

[And he's absolutely not going to tell her that he's turned traitor too. Although this brings up a whole other awkward can of worms.]

Welll...things get complicated around here. Alphonse is here, but he's in his human body, not the Stone. He's worthless.

[Except Envy knows DAMN WELL that he's not worthless to Sloth in particular. Not if he's still alive and kill-able.]

[Sloth knows that Lust was on Dante's shit list before they left on their little project, which is why she put Wrath in charge of taking care of it. She is blissfully unaware that the two wound up fighting to the death instead, but considering Lust carved out that circle to kill her she wasn't too interested in the other homunculus' death either.

Sorry Envy. She totally took Al and left the three of them behind like it was no big deal, but that's hardly important right now. One of those boys was here, and in the flesh.]

That just makes him useless to our Master, doesn't it? Wrath will help find Edward, I'm sure.

_{[Wrath has been away from Amestris for almost three years.]

[In that time, things had taken a number of twists and turns... Envy was a traitor, Lust was an ally. Humans were friends.]

[Sloth was admiring one of the random water pokemon she'd discovered when she heard an all too familiar voice. She turned, ignoring the creature to instead outstretch her arms to the other homunculus, ready for an embrace.

For him it may have been three years, but to her nothing had changed at all. Nothing except being here right now and unaware of where the Master was - or what these fascinating animals were. And she was never one to be too hung up on these things, After all, the Master's promises offered her no solace, her focus was on her own task at this point.]

_{[Wrath looks... well, not too different. Probably not different enough to indicate right away that a significant amount of time has passed. He's still small and gangly, although there's not a trace of his weird Homunculus skin-clothes-- someone has dressed in respectably in shorts and a T-shirt.]

[At first, he hesitates. As though not totally sure she's real.]

[But then, well, it's a good thing she's already opening up for a hug, because he slams right into it like it's his job.]}

Mommy! You're finally here! I knew you'd come!

[Wrath is quite the wild spirit, it is of little concern to her what he's wearing. Honestly, if he could make gun metal a fashion choice in canon, some regular clothes was hardly alarming. His lack of aging definitely indicates nothing is amiss from her perspective. He probably just got distracted.

She pauses when he hesitates, as if ready to straighten up again, but before she's able to move far he's on it and she bends back into the hug - petting his hair soothingly as usual.]

Yes...

[Her hand pauses in his hair, looking him over.]

Now tell me, Wrath. Did you take care of that boy?

[She left you in charge for a reason, Wrath. It's not like Lust could be trusted to do it, and she had other, more pressing, matters to attend to.]

_{[He shakes his head, a little sheepishly, but is quick to explain.]}

I was gonna!

But Lust and I had an argument, and I died a bit, and then we wound up here. And Edward Elric isn't. So... we haven't finished the job yet.

[Well, that certainly wasn't the best news but it did mean she had the opportunity to do it herself instead.

Sloth doesn't seem at all concerned that Wrath died, but who knows with her.]

He's not here?

[She mused the words quietly, as if suddenly it mattered that she was, after all.]

Then we'll just have to find him.

_{[Fortunately, at this point, Wrath isn't particularly concerned with the fact that he died, either. The peace he'd made with Lust had largely pushed those unpleasant memories out of the forefront of his mind, and therefore he no longer thinks about it often.]

[Sloth is not to keen on the idea that Lust is here, what with her trying to murder her and all. Betrayed her, betrayed their Master. Greed certainly didn't interest her in the least, either.

This wasn't part of the plan, none of this was going along with what she had in mind. Alphonse is here and alive, Edward is nowhere to be found and Wrath is more interested in talking about his friends.]

You'll have to show me later. First, we need to find Alphonse and take care of him. Edward as well, I'm sure he'll turn up eventually if his brother is here.

_{[Wrath wilts a little bit. Looking at things from the perspectives of others has never been one of his particular strengths-- in fact, it's debatable if he's able to do it at all. So it honestly had never occurred to him, as he lived and experienced things in this world, that Sloth wouldn't immediately feel the same way that he did.]

[But he never stays down for long.]}

Well, I know where Alphonse is.

He lives there too.

So, we should go there anyway.
