All right. I uh, don't have any money, I forgot to bring some with me. Sunset bought me all the food I needed so I'm kind of broke too.

Ah, don't worry about it. I'm usually don't have a chance to go out much, myself, so I can afford a few things.

[The smells from the nearby buildings were pretty tantalizing, but Starlight was also gauging the styles. When she noticed the convenience store, she gestured to it.]

What's in there?

Various things; snacks and drinks, candy, small useful items, and so on. They sometimes have decent food, as well; it's certainly worth a look.

Sounds convenient. If only for a quick fix. Um, what about that one?

[She points to the Pokemon equivalent of fast food, curious.]

Places like that usually feature a lot of fried foods, many of which contain meat, so you'd probably have a harder time finding something suitable.

Oh, yeah I'm not a big fan of meat. I can eat it, but it's not really part of my diet.

[She still felt a little ashamed that her human tongue really wanted to taste it, but otherwise nodded.]

Right, so that's probably not the best choice.

Most places like this have salads, and sometimes even fruit dishes.

Fruit would do. Apples, pears, maybe a orange if they have it...

Do they have fruit salad?

Well, there's only one way to find out, isn't there?

Amazing what humans come up with that's so similar to Pony stuff.

A lot of worlds seem to have similar ideas, though not all come to the same conclusions. Everything here is done with machines and technology, for example, where in my world, the nearest you might find would be a room or such equipped with cooling spells.

*and he'll look through the items on the shelves while he's talking and--aha, bingo, there's a mixed fruit cup that still looks essentially fresh*

That's true. We have what would be modern conveniences in Equestria; moving pictures, electricity, stuff like that. Fortunately we only use cooling spells when we're doing long term freezing.

[Starlight nodded.] That'll do. I think I could definitely eat that.

All right. Do you need anything to drink as well?

Water would be fine. I wouldn't want to let you spend that much on me.

Well, it's not as though I'm paying for a meal at a top restaurant or anything, you know.
