Summary: Celebi's come out, so it's time to throw a party in its honor!

It's Midsummer! Traditional festivities in Azalea are all in full swing, and this year even bigger and better than ever, thanks to the influx of curious tourists and Legendary Seekers drawn by the rumors in hopes of catching a glimpse of the elusive Celebi. Everyone in Azalea is putting out their finest, and the whole town is decked out with flowers in vases and pots, colorful streamers, and bright awnings under which vendors hawk their wares.
The fun doesn't stop there, however. Those time disturbances that have been popping up all over the place? They've become at once more localized and more benign. Flowers open quickly and stay in bloom without fading, a blissful moment seems to stretch into eternity, somehow you've managed to sample the food of a dozen different booths and it still is barely mid-morning. It's like a perfect moment somehow drawn out, suspended in time to savor as long as possible. Those who have a particularly fun few minutes may even find them repeated a few times!
Which perhaps should be no surprise, given that Celebi itself has come out to play! If you're lucky and paying close attention, you might even catch a glimpse of it flitting about from one place to another throughout the town and the nearby forest. It certainly isn't shy, though it is moving quite quickly and doing anything but staying in one place. Anybody who might attempt to catch or challenge it to a battle isn’t going to get anywhere at all—and stubborn trainers might find themselves stuck in a time loop for a few hours. There's simply so much to see and do, after all! Strangely enough, if any of the Legend Seekers are around, Celebi never seems to be anywhere to be found.
Eventually, though, the long day will come to an end, and the festivities with it. By morning, all the hubbub will be gone, and Celebi with it. But not quite without a trace: anyone who came to Azalea Town to participate in the festival will find in their belongings a single fossil as a parting gift from the Time Travel Pokémon.

"Let's leave those two to catch up, then. We can bring them back something."
Plus Shepard was around to watch out for them and no doubt Ash probably had other Pokemon with him as well. They'd be fine!
"Nothing wrong with her just being a companion Pokemon, though. She doesn't need to battle. I doubt she, or most of the other Pokemon that were rescued, want to fight all that much. Well, with some exceptions." Because Ash had said his bird friend was a feisty little guy and Cluster was no better.
Noctis's expression turned thoughtful as Ash asked his question, the prince shaking his head.
"No, but I've been told it's a common thing.." And he was terrified of the day it was going to happen. A soft click sounded as one of his Pokeballs opened suddenly, Carbuncle appearing as the glow disappeared, letting out a curious chirp.

Ash gave Carbuncle a little smile. Shame he didn't bring Macavity, but he couldn't chance Macavity running into the festival and getting into trouble. Maybe another time. He'd only brought his good behaved Pokemon, the ones who discouraged law-breaking...without good reason that was.
"Yeah...someone I knew has gone. She talked to me when I first got here and taught me how things work in this place a bit. I used to just call her up and show her pics of grass type Pokemon - she loved em, so whenever I went somewhere new I made sure to get pics of em for her. She always had this classy vibe, you know? But, just the other day, I tried to call her about this party and the line was dead. Gear told me that the line was no longer in use. And when I opened my PC...one of her Pokemon was there." He pulled out a pokeball but didn't open it yet, just looking down at it. He half-laughed. "She got him from Rocket Prom too. This rate I could open a house for Pokemon used by those bastards."

"Only if I can get you something in return." Because fairs fair. And she adores you too much not to get you something, Danny!
Noctis let's Ash talk, watching Carbuncle who seems to get a little more upset over how upset the humans are and crawls into his trainer's lap. He does so in such a way that he can stretch a paw out to rest it on Ash's knee, letting out a quiet little chirp just to let him know it's going to be okay. The prince smiles sadly and rests a hand on the Eevee's back before the expression fades as he looks over at the Pokeball that his friend pulled out.
"..I'm sorry, Ash. That your friend is gone," he said softly, not sure how he'd handle that sort of thing. He's made friends with a lot of people here and he'd miss them all dearly. Worse case scenario would be Prompto leaving and that would...yeah. "Ash's Pokemon Rescue. I think it's got a nice ring to it." Noctis motioned to the Pokeball with the hand that had been resting on Carbuncle. "She must have known you would be the best person to take care of that one. Means she thought pretty highly of you, if you ask me."

Ash smiled a little to Carbuncle, stroking a finger over his paw. It did sting to know Anthy was...gone. But in a way it didn't feel quite real. It felt more like she had just, moved away, so she might come back someday. "It was just so sudden. Just last month we'd exhcnaged Pokemon; I caught her an Oddish cos I know she loves grass types, and she gave me Amalthea's egg cos she knew I'd been wanting to try and find a Ponyta."
"And like, I knew some of her Pokemon but I didn't get to really hang out with this one much. I just hope we end up getting along, you know? It'd be horrible if she came back and Broichan had been miserable with me the entire time she was gone." He leaned against Noctis fiddling with Broichan's ball. "...I'm kinda hoping she comes back soon and it was just...a temporary thing, you know? Like a visit back home. Is that a thing? Just, taking a week or two and coming back after catching up on things?"

"I think that one's going to pick up on the fact that you're a pretty awesome guy that wants to protect Pokemon from Team Rocket," Noctis said after a brief moment of silence on his part. He let his head tilt to rest against Ash's now as Carbuncle scoots out of his lap and into his friend's. "I doubt Broichan will be miserable. They might be sad for a bit and I'm sure they'll always miss your friend but I don't it'll be miserable. How could it be with you and Danny and all the others?"
Voicing his agreement with a little twill now, Carbuncle leaned in to lick at the Pokeball Ash was holding.
