It's time for the solstice!

Who: Everyone attending the Azalea festival!

Where: Azalea town and surrounding woods

When: June 21st

Summary: Celebi's come out, so it's time to throw a party in its honor!

Log:

It's Midsummer! Traditional festivities in Azalea are all in full swing, and this year even bigger and better than ever, thanks to the influx of curious tourists and Legendary Seekers drawn by the rumors in hopes of catching a glimpse of the elusive Celebi. Everyone in Azalea is putting out their finest, and the whole town is decked out with flowers in vases and pots, colorful streamers, and bright awnings under which vendors hawk their wares.

The fun doesn't stop there, however. Those time disturbances that have been popping up all over the place? They've become at once more localized and more benign. Flowers open quickly and stay in bloom without fading, a blissful moment seems to stretch into eternity, somehow you've managed to sample the food of a dozen different booths and it still is barely mid-morning. It's like a perfect moment somehow drawn out, suspended in time to savor as long as possible. Those who have a particularly fun few minutes may even find them repeated a few times!

Which perhaps should be no surprise, given that Celebi itself has come out to play! If you're lucky and paying close attention, you might even catch a glimpse of it flitting about from one place to another throughout the town and the nearby forest. It certainly isn't shy, though it is moving quite quickly and doing anything but staying in one place. Anybody who might attempt to catch or challenge it to a battle isn’t going to get anywhere at all—and stubborn trainers might find themselves stuck in a time loop for a few hours. There's simply so much to see and do, after all! Strangely enough, if any of the Legend Seekers are around, Celebi never seems to be anywhere to be found.

Eventually, though, the long day will come to an end, and the festivities with it. By morning, all the hubbub will be gone, and Celebi with it. But not quite without a trace: anyone who came to Azalea Town to participate in the festival will find in their belongings a single fossil as a parting gift from the Time Travel Pokémon.

Luckily for Al, Ed doesn't say anything. He's still uncomfortable enough with the whole concept that it was swiftly swept into that Deal With Later part of his brain, and he wasn't equipped to handle how being face to face with one was putting a glitch into that system. Denial Mode Activated, he might be pointedly not looking at it as if that would mean he didn't have to address it at all.

The Ponyta sizes Al up for a moment before seeming to determine he was safe enough to allow some distance. He's still watching though, carefully aware of the younger brother's every movement as if he viewed other humans as a threat to Ed.

"I haven't gotten that far yet." The response comes with a laugh, watching his brother curiously as the two Pokemon meet. "Goldenrod's... Next down the path, right? It's been awhile since I looked at the map, honestly."

Al lets Ponyta be for now, deciding it best to let the pokemon make his own decision about his trainer's 'new friend'. "Yup! It's the biggest city in this region, but it's managed to keep from getting overcrowded or anything." Al casts a glance towards Ilex Forest with a small frown. "Been a while since I actually went through those woods on foot, though."

Amicus takes Edward's averted gaze as disinterest and instead focuses on Ponyta for now. They snuffle through the mask and let out a curious growl, taking a step closer. Is that your trainer?

"Well, that's the plan." He might be looking at Al like he's daring him to say he wasn't up for it at this point, blinking as he turned to look at the Ponyta as it moved around behind Al instead - sniffing at him curiously before snorting at his pack. Yes, he's more interested in that than meeting another Pokemon at the moment.

Ed looked confused for a moment before shifting to something more like embarrassed, muttering, "Not everyone is going to give you food, you know."

Al is just about to say something more when Ponyta starts snuffling at his pockets, and starts laughing instead. "Sorry, but none of that in there is for you unless Brother says it's okay, buddy. What's his name, anyway?"

Amicus watches this go on, a little confused, before slowly and awkwardly sitting down to rest for a moment.

Have the most surprised look, Al. "Uh.. I've just been calling him Ponyta." Or, you know "hey you" but we're not going to tell Alphonse that. If he only has one of each, they don't really need names, right? Right? He's hopeless.

"You can give him something, if you want. It's your food." He might be rolling his eyes at the Ponyta's behavior, at this point. "Just don't do it because he looks so desperate, he's playing that up because he knows what it gets him." Attention, and lots of it. Which Ed isn't particularly fond of, if only because he doesn't want anyone to think the thing's neglected.

"On the plus side, he must like you if he's bothering you for food already." A short laugh escaped him, shaking his head. "Which means he won't stop any time soon."
