GHOST TRICK PART ONE: Festival Log!
Who: Everyone!
Where: Either Ecruteak City or Lavender Town; please mark your toplevel comments accordingly!
When: August 13th-15th
Summary: Celebrate O-bon at a festival near you! For details, see the infopost.
Rating: Will vary from thread to thread. Warn for common triggers if something comes up.
Log:
The streets are lined with NPC-run stalls for food, games, and the assorted tchotchkes of every summer festival you’ve ever seen in your animes! There’s Goldeen Scoop, heaping cones of Swirlix Candy, Test Your STRENGTH (there are two different machines for people and Pokémon; HM04 not required); basically, if you can think of it, it’s there. There will also be a yukata rental stall if you want to go full hog on the cultural side of things. Ecruteak boasts a small stage where the Kimono Girls give a short performance once every two hours; the festivities in Lavender Town are a little quieter, but they also have Haunter-shaped ice cream treats. When you lick them, they Lick you!
On the last evening (August 15th) of the festival in either location, there will be a large bonfire and traditional bon-odori dance in which everyone is welcome to participate. In Lavender Town only, they also set paper lamps afloat in the water past the cliffs.
The closer you get to midnight on the last night of the festival, the more ghosts pop up.

[ Not saying that her plan is to sneak backstage, disguise as a Kimono Girl, and try to blend in with them on stage, buuuut that is exactly her plan. ]

[ Jumping onto her feet, Minako gestures for Mabel to follow, creeping her way past the crowd gathered to watch the performance to where the back of the stage is. Once the two girls have finally arrived at their location, she kneels down to Mabel's eye level, flashing her a cheeky grin. ]
So, from this point on, we'll have to be sneaky...don't worry, though, I've done this numerous times! Minako-senpai will show you the ropes!

Oh really? Then please do show me the way, I can't wait to see what you can do! [While Mabel had sneaked into many buildings in the past, she was a little curious to see what Minako could do!]

Then, here we go! Stealth mode, activated.
[ She returns the gesture Mabel gave, pressing a finger against her lips, and creeps backstage, her steps quiet and gradual, as she looks around for any security members backstage. So far, the coast is clear, so she turns around to face Mabel again and whispers as low as she can: ]

But each step that she took, she kept her eyes on whatever costume she could find. With a small pout, she decided to lean in closer and whispered toward her fellow friend]
You don't think they kept them in some kind of super secret room do you? Otherwise, that would be pretty mean of them! They can't do that to us!
[And if she knew anything from her adventures in Gravity Falls, nothing was quite as easy as they seemed! They always put the super amazing stuff in some kind of safe! ...Which wasn't fair at all.]

[ Oh, that was a tad louder than she was intending it to be. Minako quickly hushes herself and glances around to make sure that no one heard that. The Kimono Girls are still performing onstage, and she doesn't hear any footsteps approaching them, so they're still undetected for now. She sighs in relief before deciding to answer Mabel's question. ]
No way! That would totally be unfair of them! They've got to have them hanging on a clothes rack or something around here...
[ Or so she hopes, anyways, but if they did...Minako would just have to find a way to get to them. She was too determined to wear cute costumes to give up now! ]

You never know...! They always hide the good things in some safe or something! That's how it always works!
[Or at least for her it does. But as she continued to look around, there was one certain door she couldn't help but eye at. As she narrowed her eyes, that door looked mighty suspicious indeed!]
But then again, you never know if it might just randomly show up! You know what I'm saying?

[ Minako follows Mabel's gaze to the door in question, immediately picking up on the girl's hint. There was a chance that the costumes were hidden inside of there, so it was just a matter of getting inside. Well, she supposes they'll just have to do it the old-fashioned way. ]
