[She's out the door as soon as she finishes her letter for Dimitri, and tells Elshot to go on ahead - the warps will ensure she beats the Pidgeot to Olivine, but he doesn't have to worry about her. Jane's...kind of been on the edge of her seat and ready to head out as soon as she got the OK from this merry band of individuals to help with vaccine things. It doesn't take too terribly long to warp to Olivine City, even though she's a little dizzy from taking two warps in a row, and it's not hard to find the inn and ask where certain individuals might be staying, she's a friend and would like to visit, and also, do you have a room available?

Yes. Yes, you're all going to be gently bothered by Jane Crocker for a few days. It's done out of concern, I promise. She'll provide plenty of water and orange juice to anyone who seems very fatigued, willing to make tea on request, and happy to do food runs or even make some nice warm soup if the innkeepers don't mind letting her fiddle in their kitchen. The Pokemon she brings are those she trusts to be most helpful when it comes to assisting others: Dinah, Deva, Dart, August, and Peter all have humanoid bodies and are reliable when it comes to following instructions, while Bettina is always good to have around should they need another flyer. Any of these Pokemon are available for interactions and can be denoted by the light blue bandanas Jane has decided to give them to wear.

There are people she wants to speak to specifically - Dimitri to give him her response letter; Grant to discuss potentially helping Chip out with their issues and then Chip if Grant agrees, because she's worried; Sylvain to get some ideas going for a project he has in mind. Other than that, please feel free to talk to her, complain about how you're feeling at her, or ask who the heck she is and why has she barged in to give you soup. Y'all feel crummy and she's here to help!]

[As soon as he realizes Jane is here, Grant starts looking for a chance to talk to her properly - more than just a passing "oh, hi, thank you for coming" as they're both rushing around. He finally finds it in a moment where they're both grabbing more refreshments for those suffering the consequences of getting vaccinated for the first time ever.]

Hey! Thank you so much for coming over-- I'm sorry I didn't call and let you know what was going on.

Oh, it's fine! I, uh - I heard there was a lot going on that might've complicated that, anyway.

[Which, you know, is something she'd like to address, so just going to glance around real quick...]

Grant, do you mind if I ask you something?

[woofdad]

[Grant answers that with a weak laugh.] Y-yeah, it's been... busy. But I'd still rather not have gone radio silent on you.

[He pauses in getting some mugs down from the cupboard to look over at her again with a brief shake of his head.] Not at all; what is it?

[Grant...........you're a good dad, you're doing your best.]

I was wondering...would you be okay with me seeing if I can talk to Chip? I don't expect them to open up and explain every little thing that's bothering them, but maybe...knowing they can reach out to someone who isn't around every single day might help?

[Jane knows this world is, compared to many others, probably the most safe a world could be for kids to wander around on their own, but that doesn't mean the people they leave in their wake will be any less worried. And she does feel really bad to be a friend who just wasn't aware that there was a Situation going on.]

[Ah. He hums softly as he mulls over her words... and his own response. There's no way Jane could know how complicated, and how personal, the situation actually is. But... any extra support Chip can get would be good.]

I think... that'd be worth a shot. You will have to be ready for them to clam up; there are... things involved here that they almost certainly won't want to talk about. But I know you understand that, so maybe it'd help to have one more person to talk to, yeah.

Oh, well, that makes sense. [Sometimes you just can't express things to someone no matter how much it's bothering you.] I'll try to see if they'll sit down with me sometime while I'm here, then. Surely there will be a brief moment of respite for that.

[Since Felix is slated to be in the second vaccination group, he's still up and about when Jane arrives, and he runs into her when he goes to the kitchen to get more water for tea in his new electric kettle that's very reminiscent of a male Meowstic's coloring and fur patterns.

He pauses when he sees her, gives her a nod of greeting, and starts going about his tea business.]

So you really did come all the way here just to help us out.

Oh. It was a birthday gift from Grant. To go with all the tea Jinx gave me. [He gestures to the variety box of teas on the counter nearby, which his actual male Meowstic is rifling through at the moment.]

Why are you doing all of this?

Oh dear, when was your birthday? I'm sorry I missed it. [As for his question,] Well, I felt like coming along and helping. You all helped me when I was...not okay. It's only fair I return the favor. And besides, I don't know if Grant could've done it all himself.

[Especially since your group is constantly, like, adding new people to it.]

[Felix looks at her in confusion.] Why would you apologize for that? You didn't know about it. It was the 20th of Pegasus Moon. Or whatever you call last month. Besides, you didn't miss anything. ...Sylvain was asleep at the time. And I'm not much for celebrations anyway.

[He's not sure how much help they really were to Jane, crowding her and taking up her space while she was...recovering, and besides that she was already letting them stay in her home without doing much to earn their keep, but contradicting her seems counterproductive when she's by far the most competent caretaker among them other than Grant. Besides...]

Hm. You remind me of someone. A friend of ours from back home. Her name is Mercedes. She's a healer and she's always fussing over everyone the same way. And she bakes all the time, too.

[When Jane arrives so quickly, Dimitri is just starting to feel the... kickback of his very first vaccination. Agnes, his Kangaskhan, has him seated down on a chair in his room, and is apparently checking his temperature with her clawed hand like any mother.]

[She is also holding, in her other clawed hand, what looks like a Hurricane cocktail, complete with fancy glass and a small wooden spear that goes through a small spring of orange peel, a cherry, and a slice of pineapple.]

[This is probably fine.]

[Dimitri rouses when he sees that familiar flash of blue and cheer, however, and he turns his head to smile.]

Oh, Jane-! I was not expecting you to arrive so quickly.

Well, I got your letter and just sort of, you know. Booked it? And used the warps.

[Still a touch dizzy, she thinks. Does that Kangaskhan have a cocktail?]

I'll stay for a few days just to make sure you're all doing okay, so don't worry, alright?

[The Kangaskhan does indeed have a cocktail, and she raises it up in a Cheers to Jane before turning her attention back to Dimitri and the temperature she's feeling.]

[Dimitri lets her do as she likes, smiling at Jane apologetically.]

I hope it was not too much trouble... I understand how disorienting it can be to use those devices. Hopefully we will not cause you too much trouble.

Frankly, I am only feeling slightly off, although Agnes keeps checking on me. She seems quite fussed about something, but I imagine I will be fine. It has not gone as badly as I thought it would.

No, no, no trouble at all! As for Agnes, well, I cannot speak for her, but I am glad to see you are in her capable hands.

[She's very insistent on checking his fever, like a mom would be. Eh, that tracks, she's a Kangaskhan.]

Yes, we have many people here to take care of us.

[A quick glance at Agnes, who just nods at him after a moment of thought, and Dimitri gets up carefully to his feet.]

We made the decision to take turns in who would get vaccinated, with one group going first and then the other group going after, so there is that, at least. And that is not even counting Grant and Jinx helping all of us.

I do feel bad about dragging her about, however... She was supposed to stay in Violet, but she was caught up in all of our drama.
