Summary: Team Skull's planned a full-fledged assault on Goldenrod; join up with a team and take them down!

Log:

It's been three days since Guzma's made his first announcement over the radio, but try as the police might, no one's been able to get to him since; after making his call to arms, asking all available Skulls to come to Goldenrod to have some fun, he seems to have completely dropped off without a trace. But Candela isn't concerned much about that. She's been at this for long enough to know the song and dance; this is a pivotal spot, after all, and Guzma will be back here before long, probably with more than enough cronies to go around. When that happens, they'll head him off at the pass. Easy as that. He's gotta get orders out to the people outside, after all, and the only place he can do that is here.

He won't take it over a second time. Team Valor will make sure of that.

Meanwhile, outside the tower, Blanche would like to think she has a bit more control of the situation. Candela had been so gung-ho on kicking Guzma's ass in the tower that Blanche almost didn't have the heart to tell her that there was probably an ambush waiting in there for her. ...Rather, she tried, but Candela has a way of being far too stubborn for her own good...in any case, if she needs backup, she's out here to provide it, but if there are going to be riots and messes in the streets, its better to be out here where the damage is going to be at its highest, just to stop it before it starts. Already, Team Skull is starting to come out in small hordes, and it won't be long before things start to get hectic out here. Team Mystic, though, is dedicated towards stopping this before it gets a chance to start. ...But perhaps they'd be taken a bit more seriously if Candela and Spark hadn't forced her to dress up for Halloween--

Speaking of Spark, of course, Team Instinct's leader seems to have his priorities in order; if there are going to be riots and debris in the streets, some of the wild Pokemon in the area might just get hurt, and that will never do! So Spark has taken it on himself to lead a search-and-rescue charge with Team Instinct--any stray Pokemon in the Goldenrod area should be either captured or brought straight to a Pokemon Center ASAP! The goal is not to leave even one behind! ...Of course, Team Skull is a problem, too, but won't somebody think of the Pokemon--

You're free to NPC any Team Skull grunts and Pokemon interactions yourselves, but Team Valor will have the chance to battle Guzma, and Team Mystic will have the chance to battle Plumeria! Please be patient with responses in these threads; if the boss's Pokemon start to become too weak, they'll end up making a tactical retreat!

One last thing: you're all encouraged to have your character in costume for an event like this, and your team leaders will be dressed in costume, too! If three or more characters in costume participate in a thread together, a miracle might occur, and the Legendary Bird corresponding with your team has a chance to appear at your discretion! This applies in battles with Guzma and Plumeria, as well!

[For half a second, Anders looks just as ready to hand Walter's ass to him as the grunts'. But he and Pinsy relax quickly, the latter plopping down to groom herself as he similarly wipes the sweat from his brow daintily.]

Valor? Oh, no. That would be my partner.

[Now that Team Skull has vacated the immediate premises, he's free to step over and gather up a litter of quivering Meowth into his arms and hold them carefully to his chest.]

I'm here for these dear things.

Walter lifted his Marowak mask to reveal his face. "As am I." But he hadn't taken to attacking the thugs himself. Yet. He was very capable - being trained as a ritualistic murderer at least gave him the ability to handle himself in a fight - but he simply didn't see the need to, when his Pokemon were more than willing and able to do so.

There was a flutter as Darkness perched on Walter's shoulder, preening himself. Walter pet the bird just under the chin. He was working very hard tonight.

"Have you noticed any strange Pikachus yet? They look like they are costumes or soft toys, not actual creatures."

[Truth be told, Anders still hasn't seen an actual Pikachu, and has little to go on other than the description. He frowns thoughtfully, rocking the Pokemon in his arms just a bit to reassure them.]

The little ones with faces painted on their cowls? There were some poking their noses around Violet, but I'm afraid I haven't seen any here. [There's a good chance he hasn't been looking hard enough.]

"keep an eye out for them. My Gear couldn't give me any information on them, so what they are...no-one knows." Walter shook his head. It was extremely curious but they were currently on a mission. These new Pokemon could be explored and researched into after the current crisis, but it would be best to have people keeping an eye out for them in the meantime.

"They are shy and skittish. Do not attempt to take off their costume - they don't like that." He stepepd forward and, as he did with every Pokemon he met, shyyly extended his hand to the Meowths in Ander's hold, as if asking their permission to touch them.

I'll do that. [They were certainly shy enough in the other city; he can only imagine how terrified they must be while this city is under attack.

The creatures in his arms look warily at Walter at first, but one of them mewls and butts its head into his hand. Soon enough, the lot of them are purring, still stressed but somewhat comforted.

Anders takes note, extrapolating upon how Walter interacted with his own team members over the network.]

You're good with them. Pokemon, I mean.

"Only when they like me." Certain Pokemon could sense Walter. They felt his past, his heart and his mind, and they avoided him at all costs. But others, such as the ones he had captured...it was easier he had found, to be with Pokemon than people. He still didn't understand their kindness but he could just. Be. Sitting with his team, idling petting them or feeling their warmth as they sat beside him, or even just seeing them share space with him; he didn't feel so alone.

He gently picked two of the litter from Anders, extremely care with how he cradled the Meowths. He had dropped a kitten before and the incident had stuck in his memory. The Meowths reminded him of his...of the people he had met. Rhys had one, and so did 'Jack'. Mentally he named the pair in his arms after them.

"Will you be keeping one of them?" He asked, indicating to the kittens in Ander's hold as they began to take them to the Pokemon Centre. He was a bit like Jack; a keeper of cat pokemon.

No, I don't think so. Perhaps I'll seek one out for myself later, but they need familiarity right now.

[As tempting as the big eyes staring up at him are, Anders knows he would feel guilty separating the litter. Not that he's about to chide Walter if he chooses to adopt a couple.

Floppington takes point as they move along, ready and eager to Psybeam any Skulls who decide it's a good idea to stand between them and the Center.]

Are your Pokemon doing all right? It's been a rough night for all of us.

"Darkness is under the most strain." The bird on his shoulder did look less sassy today. Constantly flying and diving to find troubled Pokemon or Team Skull members in need of a hard peck was draining, if only for the endurance of it. For the moment he settled on Walter's shoulder, still keenly peering around for trouble.

"I have been using the Pokemon Centre when possible, but it is overloaded."
