4th Match // [video / action] Route 38 (November 1st)

[Today's video is focused on a Blaziken - the tall bird is reclining peacefully on the ground not too far from what seems to be a road, head propped on one hand-like claw, and very patiently tolerating a small yellow Charmander using it as a living climbing structure.

The Blaziken only moves when the Charmander starts to wobble, reaching out to steady it with its free claw.

The touching scene is sadly interrupted when the guy behind the camera speaks up, his voice a grumbling yet concerned growl:]

Torch dragons are orange. Is this one sick?

[ It's a little disconcerting, seeing... well, all of Krieg! But she manages to not look terrified. Good job! ]

Mm, I can tell. [ To the Charmander, she gives a wave. ] Are you having fun with your trainer, Torch Dragon?

[If you thinks the video chat is disconcerting, just wait until you see all of him in person, Namine!

Torch Dragon looks around at the sound of his name, confused, because all he sees is Krieg and Murder Chicken, so Krieg helpfully tilts his 'Gear toward the little guy so that he can see Namine. He blinks, leans in and bumps his nose against the screen because he's still an uncoordinated baby Charmander, blinks again, and pronounces:]

Charmander!

[Yes, thank you, he is having lots of fun!]

[ Oh... oh no, he's so cute! Naminé is absolutely charmed by the little guy. ]

I'm glad. Oh-- [ This is to Krieg, this time. ] I'm Naminé. Thank you for sharing Torch Dragon with us.

[That...seems like a weird thing to thank someone for? But whatever, he can roll with it.

He picks Torch Dragon up with one big hand and settles the little guy in his lap so that they can both look at his 'Gear while he chats.]

Krieg!

[He jerks his chin upward in a sharp, short motion as he introduces himself.]

And that's Murder Chicken.

[Torch Dragon's patient Blaziken jungle gym is now peeking into the feed behind his trainer's shoulder to say hello, which he does with a loud squawk.]

It's nice to meet you, Krieg.

[ ... ]

Murder--

[ That... sure is a nickname! ]

Th-that's a very, um... a very nice nickname.

Mnahahahaha! Suits him!

[....Actually, it doesn't really. But. That's Krieg. :')]

What kinds of monsters have you got?

[ She's not gonna comment on the fit, omg. ]

Well... I don't have very many. [ With some coaxing, Naminé manages to get her Togepi into the frame. ] Just my Togepi, Penelope.

[Oh. It's...an egg? He brings the 'Gear right up to his face to look at the little critter. It's kind of cute, he thinks. Angel would probably adore it.]

What's it do?

[Those stumpy arms and legs, man...can it even move around very well?]

Well... she's very fast. And she has a special move that, when she uses it, can turn into anything. [ She says that, then is quick to elaborate, since admittedly that was... vague. ] If she uses Metronome, it could turn into anything from Screech to Earthquake.

[He's not sure he believes her when she says the little egg creature is fast, but he's definitely intrigued by her description of its ability.]

Sounds like a gamble.
