It's Midsummer! Traditional festivities in Azalea are all in full swing, and this year even bigger and better than ever, thanks to the influx of curious tourists and Legendary Seekers drawn by the rumors in hopes of catching a glimpse of the elusive Celebi. Everyone in Azalea is putting out their finest, and the whole town is decked out with flowers in vases and pots, colorful streamers, and bright awnings under which vendors hawk their wares.

The fun doesn't stop there, however. Those time disturbances that have been popping up all over the place? They've become at once more localized and more benign. Flowers open quickly and stay in bloom without fading, a blissful moment seems to stretch into eternity, somehow you've managed to sample the food of a dozen different booths and it still is barely mid-morning. It's like a perfect moment somehow drawn out, suspended in time to savor as long as possible. Those who have a particularly fun few minutes may even find them repeated a few times!

Which perhaps should be no surprise, given that Celebi itself has come out to play! If you're lucky and paying close attention, you might even catch a glimpse of it flitting about from one place to another throughout the town and the nearby forest. It certainly isn't shy, though it is moving quite quickly and doing anything but staying in one place. Anybody who might attempt to catch or challenge it to a battle isn’t going to get anywhere at all—and stubborn trainers might find themselves stuck in a time loop for a few hours. There's simply so much to see and do, after all! Strangely enough, if any of the Legend Seekers are around, Celebi never seems to be anywhere to be found.

Eventually, though, the long day will come to an end, and the festivities with it. By morning, all the hubbub will be gone, and Celebi with it. But not quite without a trace: anyone who came to Azalea Town to participate in the festival will find in their belongings a single fossil as a parting gift from the Time Travel Pokémon.

Good point. But I'm not only just denied because of my age, but also my height as well.

I mean, do they even allow a small kid like me in a bumper car ride?!

Oh, yeah, that would be a problem, and not one easily fixed with a fake ID or an adult willing to lie. Can't do much other than hope you get a nice growth spurt.

[Another reason to wish that he's already older.]

At least this park accepts little kids like me.

They do allow children as young as ten to travel by themselves. It makes sense that they would allow them access to most activities, too.

At least they allow kids by age, not by height.

[Alright, he might have talked about age and height for too long now.]

Anyway... What are you in this festival?

[captainash]

I'm just enjoying the atmosphere. Everywhere else is likely to be quiet and boring right now, so I thought I might as well participate.

Same here. Although, I would have enjoy it better if it wasn't for that strange time-wimey craziness when I got here.

[captainash]

I don't think it's that bad. Or at least, not as bad as this world can get on its worst days.

True, but it did ruin Noise's sleeping habits. I have to calm him down before I even get here.

[And while he is still with him in his Poke Ball, Tony feels that letting him out means he will get all bat cranky on him.]

Seriously? Man, that's bad. Do you think he'll be okay once everything returns to normal?

[It's a good point, too. This can't be good for every Pokémon species...]

After a few days of sleep when this is over with, I think he can recover.

The question is why is time suddenly gone all wonky?

[To be honest, this is way too weird by his standards.]

It's because of that Legendary Pokémon, or so the rumors say. As far as theories go, it's not the least likely.

[If anything, it's the least ridiculous.]

Legendary Pokemon? Why did they call them that? What's so legendary about them?

[captainash]

The legends.

[Ash.]

That, and they're extremely rare. Possibly unique, even.

[yoyoboy]

[Being a new kid in the Pokemon world, his only reaction is just plain confusion.]

O...kay... You might explain this a little more detail that doesn't sound so vague to me.

[captainash]

Fine, fine, if you insist.

[He liked the vague explanation, though.]

There's a bunch of Pokémon that no one's ever trained, that most people have never even glimpsed, and yet that have been proven to exist. They're also much stronger that regular Pokémon, so they're called legendaries. We've seen a few, over the years.

Really? Does that Pokemon I just saw from the prom incident counts as a Legendary?

[captainash]

That's right. Not the first time we've seen that one, either. I think it likes us.

[yoyoboy]

Why? Because we saved it from those Team Rocket bad guys?

[captainash]

It hosted a sweet party on the moon for us even before that. Not every Legendary Pokémon would bother to do it.

[yoyoboy]

Really?! Oh man, I wish I was there to party, too!

[That's because you didn't arrive at that time!]

[captainash]

It's was very popular. Maybe they'll have another, during one of those special weekends.

[yoyoboy]

I hope they would. And they better invite me as well...

I did help save it's life before.

That's definitely enough to earn yourself an invatation. Maybe even a complimentary drink.

[Other than a complimentary drink, he feels that he accomplishes something despite he currently got only one gym badge.]
