[The feed clicks on and Chloe gives a thumbs up as greeting.]
Sup. So, uh- how's the weather been lately? Normal? Any freak storms? Animals acting weird? anyyy... tornados? Asking for a friend, she likes chasing storms.
[Yeah, that's totally believable. She's not asking because she's paranoid that the giant tornado from Arcadia Bay might have followed her here to exact it's revenge on her for, y'know, just existing. She can't help but think she got off easy, that it's going to realize she's in fact still alive, and just...
Ended up in the Pokemon world? Somehow? It's an easier thing for her to accept than it is for most people, considering the alternative was staring directly into that swirling vortex of doom. All things considered it could be worse. But she's waiting for the other shoe to drop.]
Also, how the hell am I supposed to get this loser from eating everything in sight?
[As she speaks, she points the camera at her starter, Munchlax, who's sitting on the ground chowing down on all the nuts and berries Chloe half-heartedly scrounged around for him. It won't leave her alone, so she feels obligated to take care of it.]
You know that friend who always says they aren't hungry but then asks if you're gonna finish your fries? He's that friend but on steroids. I don't share my fries with anybody.
[She sounds so exasperated as she points the camera back at herself.]
I named him Munchies, which didn't offend him as much as I wanted it to. Actually, I don't think he gives a shit.

[Isn't that great?]
With a Munchlax, your grocery bills are already done for. It'll get worse when he evolves, too.
[She sees what they did there. She's not impressed.
Okay it's a little funny, she'll give 'em that.]
Good to know, though. Shit. Can I get a do-over? Wake up with something different?
[Like, he's cute and all. More cute than she'll actually admit, but damn boy. She can't forage for berries all day every day.]
[Much like any other tornado, really.]
No do-overs, but you can can others and trade that one away. Or dump it in a forest, but that's cruel and potentially illegal.
[At his next statement, Chloe shrugs with a vaguely defeated sigh.]
Nah, I'm not abandoning the little dude. It's not his fault he got stuck with me and I can't screw him up for life cuz he has a case of the munchies.
[Munchlax, who already is starting to respond to his nickname 'Munchies', looks up from finishing the last of his snacks and waddles over curiously and leans heavily against Chloe's leg, who attempts to nudge him away.]
Hey, what've I told you about personal space?
[They've already proven they can be petty and unpleasant, after all.]
Well, if you're going to keep him make sure he learns that lesson about personal space quickly, because if he tries this after he evolves it won't be pretty.
[She nudges him away again, but he doesn't seem to get the hint as he continues to just lean on her as if it's no big deal.]
Dude, come on. Get off- okay no, you know what? Nap time.
[Chloe takes out his Pokeball and returns him to it before stowing it back in her pocket.]
Man that never gets old, honestly. It's like something out of a sci-fi flick.
[Probably. Barring unexpectedly swift evolutions.]
Impressive, isn't it? Wait until you see your first PC or teleporter, it makes wonder how far will human science go.
[Hello, she hasn't seen the PCs here, she's got no idea you can put entire Pokemon in them. That's gonna be even more of a wild time.]
[That's the really fun part.]
The teleporters are much more fun, I admit, but they can only bring you somewhere you've already been.
