This is probably going to sound really weird but I have a question about girls. I've never thought about it before back home since there were more important things going on, but|

[Gods, okay. Just relax - it's just a simple question, right? What could go wrong?]

What sort of things do they like? I mean, what do they find cute? I've thought about clothes but I don't know|

I don't know the sizes or anything so I was even thinking about a Pokemon but I think the ones that I'd find cute might scare or not be cute to some girls. I could probably take some ideas from TV or books or something too, though sometimes those can be a little

too dramatic

Figuring out what's cute isn't too hard!

Most girls like pastel colors, like pink, or light blue, or lavender. You could always get them and accessory, like a hair ribbon or a bracelet that incorporates colors like that! Then you don't have to worry about the size being right.

Or you can get sweets! I've never met a girl that doesn't like sweets! I think strawberry is the safest flavor, but chocolate is popular too. And make sure it comes in a nice box! Presentation is everything!

As for Pokemon, first it has to be small enough to pick up and hold. Then it should be soft, so it's nice to hug! Try to figure out her favorite type and go in that direction!

Did that help at all?

If simple is what you know best, you should stick to that! There's nothing wrong with simple. If anything you're less likely to overdo it that way. A plain purple ribbon or just a slice of lemon cake-- I'm sure she'll like it!

Pokemon are commitment though, so you really have to make sure it's the right fit. So maybe starting small would be best.

Before she asked you? Oh, are you already going on a date?

Maybe a Pokemon is right then! Small and cuddly is a good place to start... Fire types are nice and warm when you hug them!

But that's great! If you're already friends then you know way more about her than you would've otherwise!

Oh yeah, like Arcanine or Incineroar... They start off small and cuddly, but then they get huge. Isn't there some kind of item that keeps them from evolving-- An Everstone, right? Maybe you could give her one that holds one of those!

Your Pokemon ate them? But I thought... Aren't they like, rocks?

Oh yeah, I can't even imagine grooming something as big as an Arcanine. My Furret Maestra is six feet long and she takes forever to brush. Hmm...

Maybe a Fennekin? They're real cute, even when they evolve!

Huh! I don't have any ground or rock types so I don't really know how they behave.

I hope you tip them really well, at least!
[Kazuki's had to work at restaurants a few times since coming here, and he's learned the pain of working service jobs.] It must take hours...

Um-- it looks like Delphox gets about as tall as a person? It stands on two legs.

Hmm... Let's move away from types and just think about small cuddly Pokemon? I learned that there's a whole BUNCH of cat Pokemon, and I don't think they get very big! Like Skitty, or Glameow, or Purrloin...
