"Are they? I hadn't realized..." Well, now she feels some kinship with them, but that's no reason to stop teasing Sion. Rather, it's been a while since she's been able to tease her twin brother, and it's quite fun to do so...

"I do notice that didn't answer the question, though."

Normally, Sion's the one to be teasing others; it's rare that someone manages to turn it on him.

"They are. They're excellent at sensing things like potential natural disasters, and often will try to warn people if they can. However, because this means they often appear to people shortly before such a disaster strikes, they became associated with them as harbingers of doom or bad luck, instead."

Which is still, of course, but that's people for you. Obviously Sion knows better, and is inclined to correct any such misconceptions.

"And as I mentioned, I do already have an Absol. Two, actually."

"So you're quite fond of them, and I recall you saying you had plenty of space."

Naeva actually giggles a bit, but falls quieter, contemplating the information before reaching out to one of the Absol nearest her to offer it pets. She really does need to mull this over...a harbinger of doom is something that hits very close to home.

"Harbingers, is it? We have that in common, then, don't we, kind one?"

"I rather doubt it would be enough for all of them."

Oh, he's going to remember this, regardless of how things turn out. Mark him, Sion will find an opportunity to tease Naeva back someday, somehow.

"Do you? Perhaps Absol would be well-suited for you, then."

[desirestruth]

"Perhaps. Certainly, if one agrees to travel with me, I would not object...but it's quite cold in Azalea, so they might have to spend some time in a ball while waiting. Not every pokemon enjoys that idea, I'm told."

She is giving this Absol chinrubs, heedless of Sion's quest for righteous vengeance. Perhaps she is unaware. Perhaps it is a silent challenge. He'll have to find out himself.

"Not all do, but most Absol tend to be fine with cold weather, as they often live in places like high in the mountains."

Of course Sion would know things like this. And of course he's still petting any Absol nearest him, himself.

He is slowly gaining a crowd as the Absol recognize his affection and his petting skills. Uh-oh.

"Do they? Then I may have to ask simply for someone who can stand this weather to begin with."

In truth, Naeva's not a fan of the six pokemon rule, but until she lives somewhere with space to have them run free, there's nothing much to be done.

uh-oh indeed. Not that Sion seems to mind; if anything he's enjoying doting on the Absol, patiently tolerating their milder antics and firmly but gently reprimanding if one gets a bit too unruly. Whether he admits it or not, he clearly enjoys caring for Pokemon.

"Indeed. Most would probably be perfectly fine in snowy weather."

They really don't have all that thick fur just to be petted, after all.

Of course not, it's also there to be brushed.

"I've grown up in this forest, so I'm no stranger to cold, but that doesn't mean I like it."

She is enjoying watching Sion having the time of his life in Absol-ville, though. It's charming.

A pity this isn't Sion's house, then, he definitely has a solid assortment of brushes and the like for grooming Pokemon of all kinds.

"Perhaps, but I believe the original matter was a question between simply enduring the cold or staying in a ball."

Really, if she finds this endearing, she should see him whenever he gets himself a new egg. Sion positively dotes on the baby Pokemon...

True enough. I already had one beg to be sent into the boxes for the rest of winter.

[Fomantis, it turns out, really dislike cold.]

"Oh dear. A grass type, I take it? Or perhaps a dragon..."

Sion's been here long enough, it's not hard to guess.

Grass. Heloise is a...fomantis, I believe they're called?

[Naeva has, by this point, started digging in her bag to see if SHE has a brush for the pokemon--the ones she uses for her hair are a bit too stiff.]

"Given their weakness to ice types, it's not surprising some would be that adverse to the cold."

There's a pause as he suddenly thinks of something.

"Though, now I wonder if Flourish never complained simply because he didn't want to seem weaker than Fen..."
