She shrugs a bit, but she is approaching Sion more closely. He is what she's curious about, more than the duelist technology--the tech has no means of escape. People often do. Better to prioritize her investigation to the subjects with legs.
"The world you come from...so this is another reality. Fascinating...the transition was seamless."
no subject
The fact that she seems to recognize the basics is certainly telling.
"And yes, it's another world entirely from those that we who've found ourselves here come from. And many such 'otherworlders' are likewise from different worlds from each other, though some do have varying degrees of similarities."
Enough so that he's actually somewhat touched upon the theory of parallel worlds that become increasingly divergent the further you go from your starting point, though not enough to properly consider it as a theory. That said, he does notice her approach--and her apparent scrutiny, and raises an eyebrow.
"Can I help you with something?"
no subject
Misaki pauses, and tilts her head. "I suppose those are often the same thing."
But at Sion's raised eyebrow she giggles--more like cackles softly, and smirks wider.
"That depends if you're willing to part with a blood sample or two."
no subject
Is he a little sore about the Hisui thing? He might be.
That, however, is not a terribly good response. Sion's outward demeanor doesn't visibly change, but he's definitely fully on guard now.
"I'm afraid I have to advise against that," he says calmly, but firmly. "It would likely be rather hazardous for you."
no subject
Misaki's voice grows more cheerful, her smile a little sharper, but truthfully she has already fished a vial out of her coat...she wasn't kidding. It isn't that much. Maybe this won't end terribly?
Who are we kidding, out here in the narration?
"If you are concerned your blood itself is hazardous, hahaha, don't be....I'm quite well protected."
no subject
"Don't," he says simply and firmly. "It wouldn't do you any good, anyway."
Perhaps ironically, under other circumstances he'd be quite willing to allow himself to be experimented on. But not by someone whose intentions and motives he can't be sure are trustworthy.
That, and he wasn't kidding about the potential danger. In this state, his gradual mering with the Mad Hero has already reached a point where his blood is outright that of a god, not a human. Not a substance to be trifled lightly with, to be sure.
no subject
Ah, now, that's where you'd be wrong! The mix of the divine with the human...such things were usually quite disastrous, downright monstrous! But you've retained your pretty little human shape...no hunger for flesh or mana? No desire to hunt? Your identity intact?
Blood can't lie about what's happened to it~!
[Really she just deserves the beating coming to her at this point.]
[ooc: I am swapping to action due to my arthritis, please feel free to tag however is most comfortable for you.]
no subject
"So it would not do you any good."
Honestly, he'd rather flee than fight, though. Sion hates people being hurt. But either way, he's not about to allow some random stranger to meddle around with some of the most dangerous powers of his own world.
no subject
[Misaki don't sound proud of that. Misaki!]
...That is curious though. This really is the active will of something, if it's taking care to homogenize powers and humanity.
[He may, however, have sufficiently distracted her.]
no subject
He shrugs.
"It's certainly true that inhabitants of one world may be unable to ordinarily even interact with other worlds at times, at least."
no subject
She shrugs a little, but she's started pacing a circle around Sion. Not out of predatory desire, but because she is a natural pacer but isn't leaving the conversation. If he moves just right he will find he can step out of the circle and she'll just...keep pacing.
"Breaching the gap is not impossible, but becoming aware of that gap is often catastrophic, therein lies the rub. But since I'm assuming no visitor here has gone stark raving mad with knowledge beyond the scope of their comprehension, something must be smoothing out the process, no?"
no subject
"You mean the difference between worlds or realities? Considering that most people who find themselves here seem to think of it as simply visiting another location like one might within one's own world--albeit with a bit of a twist--I don't know if they truly can be considered aware of the scope of the difference.
"For example, I recently spoke with one fellow who had previously visited other worlds or dimensions to a limited extent, and he seemed surprised when I explained some of the differences between this one and mine despite that."
And that had been without going into full detail, at that.
"It may take a certain level of awareness that there is a difference for someone to be disturbed by it. And apparently 'you were mysteriously transported to a strange nonsensical place' seems to suffice as an explanation for most, as lacking in detail as that is."
