Lust!

[Is it even possible for Shiro to look happier? Well. If so, he manages it when he sees who they managed to land nearby. He tucks his helmet under one arm, and strides over to her, spreading his free hand back toward the Lion.]

Look! You have to come meet her!

Her?

[Lust only has more questions. She eyes the great construction skeptically, taking a step closer but not too eager to get that close. It's like some massive robot. She knows Shiro comes from space and all of that, but she's never heard of giant animal robots in space.]

What in the world is it?

A ship. Sort of. A ship - a robot... Both?

[He's almost too delighted to stop and explain. But he stops himself, takes a deep breath.]

It's the Black Lion. A robot, and a ship, from my world. There's some kind of intelligence in them - lets them choose their pilots.

This one chose me.

A...robot ship...that has some manner of sentience.

[Lust never realized what a bizarre reality Shiro hailed from. Though perhaps she shouldn't be that surprised, she's heard very strange stories from other worlds. Still. This is a bit beyond her own realm of experience.]

I thought...I always assumed when you spoke of a ship, it was more.... a rocket ship sort.

Well... I've flown those too. This is - [He turns back, to look at the robot, his expression endlessly fond.] - this is more of a partnership.

[Then, back to Lust, and he holds out a hand.]

Would you like to come aboard, ma'am?

I...suppose so.

[Why not? When will she have another opportunity? Odd as it is, she's curious. And it's clearly important to Shiro. She gets get the feeling he wants to show her.

For that alone, she'll accept the invitation.]

You can tell me all about it.

It's safe. I promise. I won't even try to leave the atmosphere.

[The last part he says with laugh - he's pretty darn sure he couldn't, not even on these weekends.]

[When Lust accepts, he starts back toward the robot, all the usual care and worry gone from his posture.]

Please don't.

[Lust isn't one to have any issue with heights, but that seems too high to her. There are some things she doesn't need to experience.

But she follows along with Shiro, curious despite her apprehension. He does seem...quite enthused. Moreso than she can recall often seeing him. It's nice, honestly. Sometimes she thinks he shies too hard away from happiness.]

How long have you and your ship been together?

As you wish.

[The words may be flippant, but from Shiro, they're sincere. Lust is a dear friend - he wouldn't do anything against her wishes.]

[He gets the hatch for her, and offers her a hand in.]

I'd say you make it sound like we're in a relationship but... yeah that's not far off. It is a partnership. [He laughs, a little self-consciously.] Few months, probably close to a year in our world.
