For the record, there are many, many different sapient species in my universe, and they all look unique.

S-Sorry. I didn't mean to insult you. My world hasn't discovered any sapient species outside of what's on Earth.. so... it's really cool to meet someone from another planet. I never would have dreamed of it ever happening, you know?

[Okay good, the exasperation eases a bit.]

Apology excepted. [The corner of her lip quirks upward.] To be fair, my world's Earth has only just recently made contact with other planets.

[Or... more like the planets made contact with them.]

Has it? What other planets are there?

Plenty. There are countless stars in the universe with planets orbiting them, and a good fraction of them support life, leading to at least a few hundred sapient species to my knowledge alone. And those are only the peoples that have made contact with other worlds.

Really...? I had no idea. I guess it makes sense that... if they're multiple different versions of the same world, there would be different planets with life too...

[He pauses.]

You don't need to answer this if you don't want to but what were your initial thoughts about Earth when you came into contact with it?

Ah... actually, this place is my first time seeing Earth for myself, at least by my point in time. My human friends came to me first, via wormhole. And our battles are still a long way from Earth.

Really? I hope you eventually get to visit the real Earth whenever you return home. Obviously it's not perfect but they're so many different things to do and see! I only got to experience visiting Japan myself once I left home. I love their little snacks and such. I think they're called... dagashi? Some even come with little toys!
