He repeats his plea a couple more times, just to be sure that the fates have heard his request. After that, there isn't much he can do other than get back to the business of getting on with life while he waits to see if his prayers will be answered.

He's done his part. The rest is up to the powers that be now. He just needs to trust in them.

Evie thinks they need to cheer up! She starts warbling and dancing.

Radley laughs and pets her.

So long as he maintains a positive mindset and allows things to happen in their own time, he knows he can wait to see if Lyn comes to this world. After all, their bond is such that really, they're not as apart as it seems they are.

Radley smiles too. "So, what are your plans for this weekend?"

"I have no plans, truthfully. I had not expected any of this to happen."

It's not like one can just predict these things, right?

"Perhaps I could just enjoy this opportunity to be myself for a little while."

"Sounds good to me," Radley says. "You're welcome to come visit our place if you want."

"I would like that. I would not mind visiting your home some time."

[crystalmaster]

"Great! Any time you feel like it," Radley says.

[behindblueskin]

"Perhaps after I have challenged Azalea's gym leader and defeated him."

A nice, celebratory party to mark a momentous occasion.

"That works for me!" Radley smiles.

"I should hope so. And I should hope that my victory is soon."

Like, "before winter really sets in and you end up walking waist-deep in snow" soon.

"Do you feel ready to take the gym leader on yet?" Radley asks.

[behindblueskin]

"I believe so. This is a Bug type gym, correct? Weak to Fire types? Both of my Growlithes are suitably leveled, but I can always spend time training my Flying types."

And given that he picked up a Rookidee on the way here, he'll have that part covered as well.

Preferably before everything melts.

Level grind? Level grind.

"Yeah, it might be a good idea to have a back-up plan."

Radley remembers from the old games how it's wise to have multiples who can do the needed job.

Fukiran, at his level, would be enough to possibly wipe the floor with at least one of Bugsy's bugs. Keldor will be saving him for the strongest 'mon Bugsy can throw at Keldor's team.

"I do not expect any contingencies, but it never hurts to be as prepared as it is possible to be."

Level advantage + type advantage = mostly easy victory most of the time. But always have a plan B regardless.
