Actually, I had Godric in a region called Hisui months ago when I first came here but he only has this form for just around a month or so. In fact I spent some months just travelling to Mount Mortar just to evolve him in there since I can’t just evolve him in a non mountainous terrain.

Oh Roger? He came to me when he and his brethren came surfing all various water forms a few months back. I was in Cherrygrove with another person at the time so we did talked about catching a Pikachu line member. This line of Pikachus and Raichus turn out to be good surfers and they don’t let life stresses to ruin their fun. Managed to catch him with food since he is pretty docile like his brothers and sisters.

And I think that he is very protective of his surfboard quite a lot. Trust me, he will get mad if someone tries to steal it from him.

[Esteban had never heard of growlithes evolving in mountains only. But then, Godric is so clearly different than Puppy that he's not too surprised, it's just unexpected. And then there's the mention of surfing Pikachus, and Esteban has to take a double glance.]

"Like. On their tails?" [He'd never heard of a Pikachu surfing-- but there is Raichu, and he shouldn't be so surprised? But it still sounds odd to him, that they learn before their tail is even big enough to support their weight. But then Harry mentions the surfboard, and Esteban absolutely does not know how to react to that.]

[A pikachu... with a surfboard.]

[Alright. This might as well happen. Esteban's grin grows wide across his cheeks again as he nods, and goes to step around little Grumpy, who responds by promptly smashing his little club onto the redhead's foot.]

"OUCH! Grumpy?!?" [He calls out loudly, only for the little monster to snort out a puff of breath, and toss his tiny club ahead of them. The floor cracks and churns, and the crumbled wall shifts around a rather round stone, lifting into arms and legs and a small head that looks rather miffed at being awoken. Esteban looks far too flabberghasted to react right away, foot still pulsing in the protest from the violence.]

Huh, what just happened right - Whoa!

(Harry gasps in shock when he sees what Esteban is also seeing. Grumpy has woken up a creature, one he has never seen before, and he too couldn’t move a muscle as he tries to comprehend what he is seeing.)

Oh Merlin. I haven’t seen anything like this beofore. Is that a Pokémon?

"I think?!" [There's a vicious hiss from Harry's hoodie, and Punk pops out onto all fours, tufts of fire streaking through her fur in her fury. She's quick, and snarling, bounding ahead between her trainer and the monster, even though Esteban calls back to her.]

"Punk! Get back! That's not somethin' you can fight well!" [His worry makes his voice squeeze. At a glance, he'd say it's something either rock or ground-type, with how sturdy the stone hands look, but she ignores him, spitting out flames at the strange pokemon and standing her ground with determination. Esteban has to bite back a curse as he bounces to grab her back, but she simply darts around his hand. Scurries underneath the legs of the monster.]

[It's small, and a little slow, but Esteban still winces when the rock fist smashes onto the ground where she'd been standing just a moment ago, her little flames now lighting the hallway further ahead of them. The rocks there are stirring as well, and Esteban winces as Grumpy huffs and puffs and scurries ahead to join Punk as well. And Esteban's never been the smartest person in the room.]

"Damn it!" [He snarls as he dives after his wayward pokemons, leaping over a rolling fist and darting in the fray. The pokemons they face aren't all that tall, coming up to maybe half his size, but the three of them are more than a threat that Esteban knows how to deal with. Two of them turn towards his smaller pokemons, while the third turns to Harry, glowing eyes set in stone. Its fist is slow as it reaches for the wizard, but its shadow reaches wider, flickering on the wall before it slams out towards him.]

Oh great. Just what I needed: more chaos.

(Before Harry can say another word, Godric comes in roaring, shooting fires at the rocky Pokémon coming after his Trainer and Esteban. Sure, the Hisuian Arcanine can be very silly at times, but he is no dummy in the battlefield. Especially when his Trainer and friends are in harm’s way.

Lily even joins in by shooting plenty Magical Leaves at the Pokémon before one of them could hurt Harry. Damn, where is his magic when he needed it the most?)

Lily, Godric? You guys want to fight these things off?

Deci, Decidueye! Arc, Arcanine! Nine.

[The rotund monster doesn't seem that phased by the fires, yellow eyes twinkling in the dim because of the flames. But the leaves have it stumble back, heavy footed and clumsy. It tramples, then surges, dancing shadows reaching wide to slam against Lily's side.]

[Behind it, another monster has Esteban trapped at the foot of the wall, his two squirming 'mons trapped in each of his arms as he tries to hold them back from the creature. The second turns, distracted by the fight, and steps along to help its heavily injured teammate, charging with heavy footfalls towards the wizard.]

Deci!

(Uh oh Lily isn’t fast enough to react when the round stone monster hits her on the side, causing her to stumble a bit. Roger, having heard of the chaos going on, comes in charging fast as he summons a red surfboard and begins to ride a wave of water, aiming straight for the monster who is charging after his Trainer. Wait, how is this Pikachu able to surf?!?

Anyway, the surfing Pikachu realizes that he can’t use his Electric moves at the thing early on, so hence why he chooses to do Surf. Plus he would try to give Lily enough time to recover and get back to the fight. Godric then goes after that same rock Pokémon by using Crunch to inflict some injuries at it. Hopefully their efforts will be able to save their friends on time.)

[The wave crashes in a torrent above the small pokemons, water splashing across the rubble of ages past. Wounded and strained, one of the goletts falls to its knees and crumbles, spirit retreating into its core as the monster cannot withstand the assault. The other, caught in the wave, wobbles against the current and flinches, unable to quite stand and make a move both at the same time.]

[In the corner, Esteban shouts a] "thanks!" [as he uses the distraction, hops out of the way of the wave with both his pokemon caught under and arm each. The golett that had chased him, distracted by the wave-- turns to face the new threat instead, slowed in its progress by the current that still rip through the small hallways.]

[Behind Harry, Puppy growls and barks a threat, unable to act with so many monsters packed in so small a hallway. He seeks a reassurance from the wizard, eyes straining for the dark passage where he had last seen Esteban in, but a diamond-shaped ear flicking to listen to the young man that had been accompanying him, as he lets out a muted whine.]

Hey, it is going to be alright, Puppy. We just need to find your Trainer and the others and get out of here as fast as we can.

(Harry is trying his best to reassure Puppy throughout the chaos in the hallway and, quite honestly, he has lost count of what’s going on in here. Meanwhile Lily is able to get up once again and she throws several Magical Leaves and Leaf Blades at the remaining Golett while Roger assists her with Surf on his surfboard.

Godric then chases after another of the Golett by using Bite on it while letting out a fierce roar. And yes, it is kinda loud for anyone’s ears for the moment, just pardon Godric right now.)

[Lily's might is quickly bringing one of the small stone golems back down to its knees, a guttural roar of frustration grinding through its stone throat as it falls, too weak to get back up. The other does its best to throw an attack at the espeon, stretching ghostly limbs far to get the hit it attempts, when Godric's jaws clamp hard on the limb, and dissipate the arm. One last surge of surf sends it to the ground as well, golden eyes growing dim as it too faints and retreats into its core stone.]

[Across them all, Esteban draws a sigh of relief as he gets back towards their small group, immediately tackled by an overeager Puppy, who checks with great whuffing breaths that his trainer isn't harmed. Punk squirms quite unhappily in his arms, and drops down to totter off closer to Harry again, just as Esteban manages to keep his giant Arcanine off to one side so that he can check on Harry himself.]

"That's amazin'!" [he cheers quite happily.] "They w're all so in sync!"

[He's very visibly impressed to see the team come together as one against the threat. Each helping and protecting each other in the fray. That's an actual trained team after all; not an event Esteban had seen often.]

(Thank goodness his team was able to save everyone before things went south pretty fast as he slowly regains his composure from watching the chaotic battle they had with the Golett. Godric, Lily, and Roger happily take this moment to cheer as they managed to defeat these stone Pokémon.)

Oh gee, thanks Esteban. It has taken me some months to get everyone in sync and learn to coordinate their moves to take on large groups of wild Pokémon in event we encounter something like this. And I’m pretty happy to see all that effort paying off well.

(Violet warbles in relief as she runs up to Harry to see if he and Punk are okay. She was scared that something might have happened as she was partly weak to the Golett’s Ghost moves but Godric’s jaws did come to her aid at the last minute.)

[The redhead nods enthusiastically, still quite thrilled by the fight he'd just witnessed. He crouches to his pokémon's levels and offers his palm open to highfive any little critter that wants one, Grumpy finally squirming out of his arms as well when he's that low.]

"That it did! What sorta trainin' do you use to make them more co'peratin' as a unit?" [he asks eagerly, wondering what he might learn from the quick altercation they'd just witnessed.]

[Puppy grows tired of being pushed aside, and he leans his entire weight onto his trainer, nearly causing him to faceplant with how heavy his pokémon is. Punk twines around to Harry's other side, scurrying out of the danger range where Puppy might try to steal some more comfort from her too.]

Simple, I just have them take part play fights and training to coordinate their actions against targets I have made for them. I even once participated in a training battle with a more experienced trainer at the outskirts of Ercuteak City on the day I found Sirius to understand more about battle strategy.

And honestly, I found it quite amazing to see that everyone in my team enjoying battling and want to take part as many as they can participate.

"Heee~ That sound like fun~" [Alright, so he's a bit... envious isn't quite the word he's looking for, but Harry's adventures, his challenges and his travels seem like something Esteban would delight in participating himself. He'd love to travel from place to place, depending on his own wits and survival skills, as well as his well-trained team to make it through each day.]

[But... there are dreams he can't quite reach for. And that's okay. He's not combative enough to encounter pokémons each day and simply brush the fight off. He actually feels quite bad for the little golems that had blocked their path, and he gently starts nudging them back into the rocks and out of direct sight, so that they won't be attacked while fainted.]

[Puppy is quick to help him along with that; having been the oldest of his team, and well used to the simple movements. Grumpy scoffs and ignores them, and Punk comes to lean against Esteban in turn while he works, letting his voice carry again.]

"What's the most fun y've had on y'r adventures?" [he asks openly, grinning at Harry while he moves a leg out of tripping-hazard range and props the little golurk against a corner of the wall, patting its head gently.]

Oh me? Why, I got to say that it has to be seeing the many places around Jotho. I haven’t been to all of the towns and cities just yet before I can go into Kanto, but the ones I have been to are very amazing to be in.

And oh, meeting the different people who are also stuck in this world as I am. Besides the friends that I have from my world that is. One of my best friends happens to run a restaurant and a breeding centre in Goldenrod City. I have been meaning to go there someday and meet up with him: he and his group of Eevees and other Pokémon are pretty amazing when you get to meet them.

"Hun." [Right, Harry had mentioned he came from a different world. Esteban still finds it hard to wrap his head around, nose scrunching as he tries to just go along with that.]

"Where'd you like to go then? Not-- just. Is there anywhere you wanna go specifically?" [He tries to make himself understood as he lays a hand on Puppy's shoulder, climbs back up to his feet so they can keep chatting and ambling along. Also, well, Esteban's lost. They'll have to find themselves in the ruins eventually.]

[He's catching the thread of the conversation better once he manages to let the mention go, grinning as he moves along with an eager stride.]

"An' where's it that you found the most fun to explore? What didja see that made the trip worth it? At ev'ry place, or any place? Didja get to taste some strange foods? Where? What was the best thing y' tasted on y'r travels?"

Hehehe, that’s a good question. I haven’t been to Kanto just yet but I might consider visiting it one day once I am done with the gym battle challenges in Jotho. It is so hard to decide on the exact place I want to visit.

As for what is the most fun I have so far, it has to be exploring a bit of Mt. Mortar when I was going to evolve Godric in there. Granted, I did got my friend worried for going into it underprepared but I did took her advice to make sure that I have enough supplies and watch for any dangers when checking the mountain’s caves.

[Punk, abandoned at their feet, huffs and puffs before deciding to stick close to Harry's pokémons, sniffing lightly at Roger before she seems to decide Godric might give her a ride. She scrambles nimbly over the tall Arcanine's shoulder, settling on his back where she curls up and lets the two trainers guide them.

Puppy is of a similar mind, and he lets a low bark to the small Violet and Roger on the ground, before he lies down to make it easy to access his shoulders, where they can get carried. There's a bit of a shuffle around ahead of them as Grumpy rolls his eyes, but his bad mood is completely ignored by both Puppy and Punk. Esteban is the one to scoop him up in his arms, and the cubone squirms a bit before settling with a tiny huff.]

"Y're in no hurry, right? You c'ld go to all of 'em!" [The grin he share is bright, simply stating it as he saw it.]

"An' y' came back with a proper arcanine, yeah? Doesn't seem to me like y' were unpr'pared." [Or at least not that unprepared. Then again, he's curious.]

"Why there? What made it special?" [He'd been asking about pretty places, fun places, or maybe good food. He finds it curious Harry has isolated a mountain as his answer, and he's, well. He's been nosy so far, and that's not about to change anytime soon.]
