[03] [Video] Backdated to Christmas day

[Elsa's face pops up and she smiles as cheerfully as possible. As always, she looks a little tired and her smile seems a little forced. She's just got a lot on her mind and holidays have been especially tiring. It's fine, it's fine. She's got a lot to be happy about!
She shifts the video to reveal the small creature sitting in her lap, staring curiously at everything. Most will be able to recognize it as a dratini- but pink! Elsa looks down at him fondly, before turning back to the camera. Meanwhile, Dratini moves out of her lap and slithers up her body to gently curl around her neck so he can peer into the camera better. He's still so small he can't even wrap completely around.]
I have a new addition to my family! He's a Dratini and... he's actually the offspring of a Dragonair that the... the former "me" had while she was here.
[Elsa's voice is gentle when she says that, as if she's sad- but not sad for reasons anyone would expect. She wishes, in a way, the two of could be there so that they could both have their life here.]
I had the pleasure of meeting her a little while ago. She was a lovely person! And I'm so glad I have the opportunity to... to carry on her legacy, in a way. And to have a piece of her in the form of this Dratini. It would feel wrong to fully take any of her Pokemon, but this? This I can handle.
[She smiles again, this time more genuinely.]
It's just got me thinking, has anyone else ever experienced something like this? Receiving something that belonged to a you that was here before? How did you feel about it?
I struggled for the longest time, feeling like I was... I was wrong, that I couldn't be who everyone might want me to be. When I had the opportunity to meet myself, I realized how... silly that is. Because we're both different people! I mean, the same people, but. She had her life and I have mine, right? I can't live in her shadow. I have to be who I'm meant to be here instead of feeling bad that I can't be her.
[Dratini nuzzles her cheek all of a sudden, which breaks her out of her little ramble. She chuckles a little awkwardly, reaching up with her other hand to rub his cheek and nuzzle against him.]
I apologize, I didn't mean to go on for so long! You must be bored by now. Anyway, well... I think I might end off here. Thank you for listening to me ramble. I hope everyone has a lovely day!
