It happens almost too fast to track. One moment, an extremely generic-looking trainer is swapping balls with a smug, ragged-looking young man. The pokéball the Perfectly Generic Trainer was holding begins shining with the blinding light of evolution.
Then, a blur of movement. A young woman rushes out of the shadows, and with a single swipe of her Doublade, she severs the belt around the smug trainer's waist while he's distracted by the pretty lights. The illusion around the Perfectly Generic Trainer falls away, revealing a Zoroark who pulls down his eyelid before kneeing the smug trainer right in the groin (talk about Foul Play) and taking back the ball he had traded, tossing it to his partner in crime before returning to his own ball.
And then, giving the confused (and very much in pain) young man a salute, the blue-skinned woman runs into the alleyway, back into the shadows. Everyone else at the trade meet is too stunned to do anything but watch.
