When Ecruteak City said they were going to host a city-wide Halloween party this year, they weren't kidding. The city, normally so quaint and quiet, has been transformed almost beyond recognition. It's hard to find a single place that isn't decorated with carved pumpkins or candles, while fake Zubats and Spinarak grace every step and window sills. Shopkeepers and cafe workers do their job bedecked in all manner of costumes and even the local pokemon are getting in on it. It's as if every person in Ecruteak, young or old, has completely committed to the Halloween craze.

Perhaps it comes from remembering how dark and dismal things had seemed last year around this time. It's a time few want to remember. So maybe it is time to give people some new good memories of the dark days just before winter and a giant Halloween party is just the way to do it.

All around the city, a large number of events have been set up, so everybody can pick and choose the things that appeal to them most. Anyone arriving in town (whether on foot, or by warp pad, or even by UBIRD) will be sure to get a flyer from a costumed volunteer, which includes a simplistic map of the city with all the event locations and times marked. On the other side, each activity has been written down with a small area to be stamped. Apparently, if you participate in five activities, you’ll be able to redeem the flyer for a small pin shaped like a ghost pokemon (there are various ones to choose from) that declares you the Champion of Halloween!*
