ev news: server outage!
![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
[A breaking news bulletin appears on the latest edition of EV news, in the early hours of the morning. The news reporter looks somewhat haggard, with what appears to be a very large and active Arcanine taking up the background of the shot. It seems to be bounding around the screen without a care in the world, much to the reporter’s chagrin.]
Good evening–erm, I mean, morning! On Friday evening, Silph Co. reported a significant server outage, which was quickly restored using back-up data. However, since then, we’ve been receiving reports of hiccups with the Silph Co. Pokémon Storage System.
Some users have found that their Pokémon have disappeared from their rosters entirely. Additional users trying to withdraw their own Pokémon from the system have been shocked to find different Pokémon entirely. A local woman trying to withdraw her Weedle was suddenly in custody of a very confused Wailord. Last night, I, myself, tried to take out my Patrat, only to be left with…this Arcanine.
[The Arcanine lets out a loud howl, and the reporter winces.]
A spokesperson for Silph Co. has come out with a statement for those affected by the outage.
[The screen switches to a very professional looking businessman at a press release. Cameras flash and shutters click as he speaks.]
Good morning. Following the server outage this morning, we are aware that a number of our customers have had their Pokémon storage affected. Rest assured–your Pokémon are safe! Our database engineers are toiling day and night to restore your Pokémon data to how it used to be.
[The camera switches back to the reporter, who now is having her head chewed on by the Arcanine.]
So Silph Co. customers can rest assured that their Pokémon are safe–just…temporarily misplaced. Now, if ANYONE out there owns this Arcanine, please contact me immediately. My phone number is 555-5555—
[The news feed ends.]
