AN EXCITING END TO THE DAY
Who: Everyone participating in the extra Prom event!
Where: The beach on the south part of the island, and nearby surroundings
When: Sunday, April 15th (night)
Summary: A special kite-flying sendoff goes awry.
Rating: PG-13, most likely
Log:
As night falls on the final day of an excellent beach prom adventure, the staff of Resort Gorgeous usher their guests out onto the beach for one last grand sight to top off the experience. Big, fluffy resort towels have been laid out for people and Pokemon alike to sit on, and locals are off to the sides, handling large and beautiful kites with incredible care. They come in all shapes and sizes, and each depicts a Pokemon you may have seen wandering the shores or swimming in the oceans during your time here. They're incredible works of art all on their own, and as the wind picks up, watching them lift off into the sky becomes an artistic experience in and of itself.
A hush falls over the gathered audience as the kites sail up, up, up into the sky. Small children begin to release lanterns that float up to join them, and the kites dance around them in practiced loops and twirls. In turn, they are illuminated from all angles, a play of shadow and color in the dark, starry night.
But as the show goes on, it starts to become apparent that starlight and lanterns... are not the only things lighting up the night sky.
A growing point of electric blue light that might have been overlooked at first among the rest of the stars becomes brighter and brighter, and bigger and bigger, quickly becoming what is clearly a long and jagged tunnel opening up in the middle of the sky over the island, accompanied by a sound like a clap of thunder.
There's barely enough time to react to the opening of space before, like bees from a hive, ghostly white creatures emerge, at least two dozen of them, drifting serenely down in the direction of the beach-- and, unfortunately, right towards the show, even as the locals gasp in shock and try to pull their kites in.
"What in the world is that?" one person cries out.
"Where did they come from?" shouts another.
But the biggest, most obvious reactions come from the wild Pokemon in the area.
Frightened Wingull take off in enormous clouds from their cliffside nests and scatter to the winds, the sea grows choppy with fish Pokemon of all kinds poking out from the waves to examine the bright light only to splash hurriedly back down, and even the Pyukumuku try to roll themselves back into the ocean, expelling their innards to help pull them across the sand. The landbound wild Pokemon don’t have the ocean or the sky to retreat to, and begin to swarm and stampede in their efforts to either find somewhere to get away from the strange, unnerving creatures...or stand their ground and attempt to fight them. The reaction from the wild Pokemon is so strong, in fact, that the strange creatures seem to panic themselves, jittering this way and that, only for some to get tangled in the strings of the retreating kites. Once ensnared, they start to emit an unsettling cry as they struggle to get free, lashing out with their tentacles at anything that comes near as they come tumbling slowly through the air towards the ground.
It’s chaos on the beach. Some locals try to yank their kites free, or send out their own Pokemon to try and defend themselves. Others run, scooping up children and Pokemon and yelling for others to do the same. Wild Pokemon are flapping and scampering everywhere, so panicky that they’re having a hard time telling friend from foe. The strange creatures are floating all around, lost and fighting with trained and wild Pokemon alike. But the question is...what will you do?

A wild Nihilego appeared!

OTA!
[Yeah. Things were just a tiny bit chaotic right now. Noctis had been hoping that this weekend would go smoothly; that maybe things would be nice and calm for once but apparently this world just wasn't having it. So when the wormhole had opened up he had found himself almost groaning out loud.
It figures.
Instead of letting himself get frustrated though the prince had jumped into action, immediately letting all of his team out so they could aid in evacuating people from the scene.
His Snorlax immediately moved to block the path of some of the Nihilego, roaring irritably in hopes of startling them though honestly nothing seemed to really bother these things. Quay the Popplio was perched on the Snorlax's shoulder and she let loose a few good shots with Aqua Jet, nailing a few of the Nihilegos which..was actually pretty effective. (Sadly Noctis was too busy to notice.)]
Watch out! [Grabbing a waitress he tugged her out of the way as a Nihilego came crashing down, the beast tangled in some kites and not at all pleased about it.] Nyx! Quick Attack! [The Frogadier lept into action, nailing the beast and knocking it backwards while Noctis ushered the woman towards the resort.]

Ash ran over, following Danny and holding a deeply distressed Holokai to his chest. Diarmuid ran past, to secure the other flank as Danny seemed to have 'his' side covered. "Dude, where do we put these people? I dunno if these things can get indoor or not-" He knew that they needed to get people out of here, but he had no idea where 'safe' was. ANd he's a bit distracted by 'wtf are these things', 'oh god this situation is a nightmare' and 'my precious Raichu is freaking out'.

Bean swells with pride at the sight of her love taking the creatures on like he is but she's not about to stand back and let him have all the fun. She may not have a Mega Evolution but she can help! Some of the Nihilegos he hit with Flash Cannon seemed to 'stagger' through the air, almost hitting the ground which made them prime targets for Bean's Bulldoze, the Snorlax charging them and hitting them head on. That should make them even slower for you, Danny!
Having leaped away before Bean got started, Quay had found Christian and the pair were teaming up their water attacks against the beasts, keeping things on the other side of Danny clear while Diarmuid took the furthest side--and he'd find Nyx there helping him.
"Get them inside! That's the best option we have right now!" Noctis replied as he looked at Ash, worry touching his face at the sight of Holokai. "Is he okay??"
(Wanna have Moltres fly overhead and give them an idea of what to do?)
"I dunno man - he read their auras and freaked out. Talking about how they were oil spills on the world or some shit, and then he just fell out of the sky!" Ash couldn't help sounding stressed because he was. Holokai curled into him. He didn't look hurt but he was horribly shaken and refusing to use his psychic abilities.
Ash pulled out two more pokeballs, releasing Alexander and Amalthea, giving them their orders in Irish. Alexander was to ensnare and hold the creature's back, Amalthea was to help people get to safety quickly.
(Sounds good to me!)
"Got it, Noct!"
The prince looked back to Ash as Regent ran past them to assist Alexander in moving more of the creatures backwards now that Amalthea was assisting in herding people.
"You should get him inside before something else happens, Ash, just go be safe," he said hurriedly, looking at the poor Raichu, reaching out to lightly stroke his head. "We have no idea what else those things are capable of."

But as they spoke, a flash of fire blazed in the sky. Ash looked up to see, for the second time, the legendary Pokemon Moltres. He frowned, remembering the last time he'd seen it. But it dived elegantly forward, giving a loud cry and extending it's talons at the beasts. They in turn gave fearful shouts, backing away from the fire bird. Ash watched as it slowly became obvious that Moltres wasn't aiming to really defeat or knock down the creatures - it was forcing them back towards the portal.
"Dude. It's herding them back!" He found Holokai's Pokeball and recalled him inside, to keep him safe for the immediate moment.

But thankfully it seems like the fire bird has its priorities worked out.
"Herding them--" Noct repeated then it clicked. Back to the tunnel. The beasts were confused and that's why it seemed like they were rampaging but in reality. "--Bean! Carbuncle! Regent! Focus your attacks on pushing them back towards the tunnel they came out of! Follow what Moltres is doing and herd them back!"
His Pokemon respond immediately and start to do what they can to push the beasts back towards the tunnel now, all three of them using their attacks in ways that will startle the beasts rather than hurt them.
