[ Byleth has seen all sorts of constructs and beasts in his time, but this one is something else entirely. It carries a regal air about it that is impressive to say the least. He nearly drops his gear as the roar tops out the audio levels, but when Shiro emerges he finds himself leaning in and calling him immediately. ]

Shiro... what... what is that?! Is that a Pokemon?

[shiro2hero]

[Despite that whole Maybeline Hair Flip, he still looks kind of windswept. Somehow. Despite being in the cockpit. Either way, he's elated. And that just increases when he sees Byleth on screen.]

Byleth!

[God he's a golden retriever in human form.]

It's - She's a ship. Sort of! Remember - I said I flew? I fly in this!

Oh... wow-

That's. I don't even know what to say! Incredible! Can I... would you take me inside? Can I see it???

[shiro2hero]

Yes!

Where are you? We can come pick you up.

I'm at home.

[shiro2hero]

Then we're on our way!

[There is definitely a moment of fluster before he gets the camera turned off. Hee hee - okay, no. Focus.]

[And it really, truly only takes a few minutes, thanks to both the Weird Weekend and the Giant Robot Lion Power. Shiro's very careful to land where he won't accidentally squish anything. Then clamber out to look for the truly handsome man here.]

[ Byleth is waiting for him outside, and oh... that certainly is a sight. He's not even sure what to say other than simply to stare in that dulled sense of awe. When Shiro emerges though he is snapped out of his gaze and lifts a hand to wave to him. ]

Shiro! Over here!

Byleth!

[You know what this is? This is a dramatic run - romance movie style. To sweep the other man into a hug before he gestures at the Lion.]

You're going to love this. Are you ready?

[ Shiro is treated to Byleth's delightfully awkward breathy laugh as he's picked up and hugged, squeezing him back. ]

I am! It's incredible-- I've never seen anything like it before. I know you told me but... it doesn't compare to seeing it for real.

[shiro2hero]

[Awkward? Not at all. That's a delightful laugh. A great laugh even. He'll gently set him down, reluctantly.]

I know. I - It's been so long since I've flown. It feels like I'm going up for the first time all over again.

I don't imagine it will be much like riding a wyvern or pokemon... but I trust you.

No, no it's not. It's in the cockpit, for one thing.

[Where there's ONLY ONE CHAIR]

We don't have to do any stunts if you're not comfortable... [He'll take Byleth's hand. To lead him to said cockpit.]

A cockpit? What a thing to name a... a thing.

[ He takes the offered hand however, stepping up to follow Shiro inside. OH. But there IS only one chair... wHATEVER WILL THEY DO? ]

I get to sit in your lap.

[ Sorted. ]

Yeah uh. I have no comment on that one. No, really, I have no idea why it's called that.

[It's exactly like you'd expect a sci-fi space cockpit to look like. Purple and black metal, a big viewing screen. And the one chair.]

Oh - uh. Yeah. Yeah it. Looks like you do.

[Is he turning pink? You bet he is. And sitting gingerly in the pilot's chair.]

[ Byleth wastes absolutely no time in moving to sit sideways on Shiro's lap so he can comfortably rest his arms around the man's shoulders and lean into him. ]

Well. I trust you, so take it away.

[shiro2hero]

[Shiro really can't help it - he squirms a bit, and takes a deep breath to focus. It doesn't help that he can feel the Black Lion's amusement. She is not helping.]

As you wish.

[But not before he leans in to smooch him.]

[With the power of smooch, he guides the Lion into takeoff. Nice and easy - for Byleth's sake.]

[ Aww yes. A SMOOCH. Just for him! And then they're moving... they're flying! It doesn't feel at all like flying on a Wyvern. His hold on Shiro tightens just slightly, but the gentle glide up is appreciated. ]

Wow...

You're telling it to do this?

[shiro2hero]

[Byleth's arms tightening ears a smile, Shiro's head leaning against his so he can speak quietly, like they'll be overheard.]

It's okay - I won't let anything happen to you. Ever.

[He keeps the Lion even, steady. No racing right now. No fancy stunts. Just a nice, gentle flight.]

Yeah. These things here - [That he's holding onto.] - are the controls. I'm guiding it.

[ Gradually, Byleth starts to relax a bit, and he begins to peer around with no small measure of wonder in his eyes. ]

This is incredible... you're incredible, Shiro.

How... how fast does it go?

[shiro2hero]

[He's absolutely beaming already, but when Byleth seems to be enjoying himself more... that just makes his grin widen. Turning a bit lopsided.]

And you're doing a great job for a first time flight.

[No really, he means it.]

I've never pushed it to the limit before. But - hundreds of light years, I'd say, if necessary. [He pauses.] So - faster than any pokemon or vehicle here.

Light years? How fast is that? Hmm... can you show me?

[ Byleth you have no idea what you're asking. ]

[shiro2hero]

I... would love to. But I really can't, in the atmosphere.

[And he'd love to take Byleth up to the stars. Dearly. But he's tried, during past weekends. And it never quite works.]

Well, that's all right. I understand.

How... fast could you go down here?
