Helloooo there humans and monsters and all in between!

It is I, Gaige the MIGHTY MECHROMANCER! And I am now en route for...wherever isn't New Barf Town.

[She casts a glance over her shoulder as if to make sure she's not being followed.]

Seriously if they didn't want me to go through their trash and mailboxes and stuff they shouldn't have left stuff in them! It's just common knowledge isn't it? I mean you can't just drop a girl into a new world without any weapons and expect her not to try and improvise!

[Which in her case meant trying and failing to loot New Bark Town for guns. Guns they obviously did not have.]

Anyway sooooo let's get to know each other. As I said I am a Mechromancer which is a godlike combination of scientific genius and badass warrior woman.

[Here her voice turns back to irritated and a little whiny]

And since WHATEVER brought me here decided to separate me from two of my greatest inventions...feh...whatever. I'll just have to start from scratch again.

No, it's the name I was given by the one who raised me. It doesn't mean anything, it was just some mad woman's poor sense of humor. My brother is called Envy.

So like...he's OK? I never heard what happened to him at the end of Athena's story about the moon.

[To be fair, she missed a lot of the story. One of these days she should actually sit down and listen to the whole story instead of having Athena speed through it.]

So I've gathered.

In what sense? He's here, and he has his own life. He travels with Athena and Mr. Krieg and the others. He's a good man.

I just figured...I only had to sound like Jack for a short bit and it was sooooo gross. I can't imagine what it would be like to be that close to Jack AND look and sound like him even after all that stuff went down.

Those things stopped being made like...forever ago! They only just started making new ones on the echonet! That is so retro! What are the stories about?

Where I come from, they're the predominant form of entertainment. Though I'm not surprised to hear that, Timothy referred to my typewriter as a collector's item.

Mostly mysteries. Spooky ones for Halloween. We're working on a bit of an adventure tale set in the Sevii islands right now.

That sounds so cool! I've gotta hear them! Are there recordings or do I gotta listen live?

Also, are the Sevii islands a place around here or fictional? They offered to let me on this boat when I arrived but I wanted to find the vault hunters.

I can find some recordings to send you. They're performed mostly by my friends and family. I only write them and introduce them, I do all my performing in the circus.

They're a place here. The ferry takes you to Kanto, the other region. It has a great deal to offer. The islands are something of a vacation spot.

That is still totally cool. It's like next level AV Department meets theater geeks!

Sounds like something to keep in mind. Last time I went on vacation a bunch of assassins were hired to kill me and my friends but each got murdered before we even found em.

There was also a bunch of bug monsters...a giant crab thing. And the drinks were too expensive but really sugary which is my JAM.

You needn't worry about that here, it's a relatively peaceful place. What upsets there are will likely pale beside what you seem to be used to.
