Summary: The culmination of weeks of worsening bad dreams comes when all that accumulated power is enough for the Pokemon to sprout an entire forest meant to trap people and harvest even more power. Now people from all over are lost in the woods...with very little distinction between what's real and what's not.
Log:
Whether by being drawn in or by simple curiosity (or poor decision making skills), people and their Pokemon have wandered in amongst the trees that have sprouted overnight. Only to find that once inside? There doesn't seem to be any way back out. No sunlight can pierce through the dense foliage overhead, but there is an eerie sort of green-tinted light with no source that gives people enough light to see by. The thickness of the woods varies--in some points it’s practically easy to move forward, and in others the trees are so close together that your character might have to squeeze between them. Phantump flit through the air and Drowzee can be seen occasionally running along the ground.
And in the background, a Trevenant and a Hypno watch. And wait.
Wait for these lost souls to finally drift off into sleep.

Like that ridiculously overwrought thing the two had been fighting over before?
But yeah, that's not a lot of options. Envy can't exactly shoot sunbeams out of his face. And the swarming, tearing, biting creatures are quickly overwhelming the two of them in spite of their struggles.
But...but this is a dream, isn't it? Maybe he can make something happen...
"It's a dream! That's what's wrong! What do these things look like, just big keys? Swords? Maybe I can do something!"

"They..they're weapons. Long, sword like weapons with curved blades that look like fancy keys," Vanitas yelled, knowing full well that it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense to someone not from his world but Envy you're just going to have to trust him on this.
He closed his eyes for a moment, trying to fight off the surging fear that was trying to consume him so he could focus. Focus on something in the back of his mind; focus on the weapon he had trained with for so long--
A weapon manifests in his hand, appearing in the same manner it always had back on his world and his eyes snap open as a relieved laugh escapes him.
"There we go!" With a quick slash he knocks several of the Unversed off, the little beings disappearing into the darkness.

He's not going to question it too much, there's not time for that.
But what he is going to do is do some serious concentrating of his own, just hoping that it's going to work in this odd dream-state...
And as he concentrates, his right arm takes on a glow of its own, a crackling white light starting at the elbow and traveling upwards. And when it's done...well, it's not a full one, but he sure did turn his forearm into a key that looks something like the one Vanitas just pulled out of nowhere. He has no idea if it will work, but he takes a swing at the monsters all the same.
"Ha! That's it, show them who not to mess with!"
