I'm - forgive me, I know there was only just that recent announcement, but-

[The redheaded man on the Network today looks. Well, he's practically vibrating where he's sitting, a gleam in his eyes as he fumbles for a notebook in his supplied backpack. He's not even looking where his hand goes, he's just blindly reaching for the darned thing.]

You mean to tell me the birds that have been sighted recently are a revived extinct species? I - this is - how ever did they return? Have they been in hiding all this time? What-

[Oh my God, G'raha, breathe you ridiculous man.]

Where can I find out more about other extinct species? If one is making a resurgence, perhaps it might be prudent to investigate if other pockets of their population might still be thriving as well, would it not? Perhaps they might not all be as dangerous as those Braviary were, yes?

[He is just so excited, as if the white foxes who impersonated a whole human being in Lance's broadcast has completely gone over his head.]

What role could they have played in society? What strengths did they have? Why not record them for posterity in...in what we know as present-day ruins, for example? Were they once so common that no one thought to do so? And if there's anywhere out in the field where one might find clues to such things, please - do not hesitate to share your findings! I shall happily share my own-

[It seems like he's about to go into another bit of rambling before the 'gear slips from his hand and shuts off. This is what you get for not paying attention and trying to do two things at once, my dude.]

[Dimitri, get your fingers away from the camera lens - alright, there we go.]

[The scene he focuses on is in a forest, the branches and leaves so thick that it's more shadow than morning light. This seems to suit those that the camera focuses on, of course. The primary focus would be Dimitri's Alolan Marowak, Hafren. Much like in the last video she featured in, she is dancing once again. This time, however, it isn't to the sound of modern pop. Rather, to the quiet rustling of the trees, she seems to be doing... some sort of ritualistic dance.]

[It's honestly rather fascinating to watch. To a tune perhaps only Hafren knows, she mixes up sharp sweeps and spins of her bone club, hard stomps of her feet, and slow elegant gestures all together. The entire while, an eerie green glow flickers from her club.]

[And watching all of this, the other main focus of the video... There are just. so many Hisuian Zorua. All of them sitting in what looks like it could form a circle, although the camera would be a part of that circle if that is so. Their sad little fox faces are absolutely transfixed on Hafren's dance.]

[Even as the camera focuses on her dance, and the audience, more Zorua seem to pop up amongst the crowd - whether to get a better view as they move seats, or just, literally out of nowhere.]

[Dimitri's voice sounds off, a quiet whisper.]

We went to go train this morning, as we are early risers, before the message that Lance posted to the network. Before I knew it, Hafren took off, and it was then that I discovered these particular Zorua. She immediately began to dance for them, and, well, they have stayed to watch.

She has done this in the past before, for fossils and, well, others of her.... type. But never to this extent.

That was, ah... hours ago, I believe? And only more of the Zorua have appeared.

While I can respect what Hafren is doing - [Dimitri do you even know what she's doing] - I am worried that she will completely exhaust herself. I would like to take her back home, but, well...

There are quite a good deal of Zorua now. And I am worried they would begin to act up- ah!

[Right as he's saying that, well, speak of the devil and all that. Dimitri's camera jerks, and there's the brief sign of what has his attention - what seems to be one of the Zorua trying to dig into and tug at what is likely Dimitri's bag.]

[Dimitri only has a moment to shoo the Zorua away - which doesn't work, for the record - before there's another hard stamp. The camera jerks, goes a little lop-sided, even as it focuses on Hafren again.]

[Hafren, pointing at the mischievious Zorua with her club, and then... Jumping right back into the dance, this time with more energetic hopping and spinning, before... holding one claw out to the Zorua? She doesn't make a sound, besides the crackle of the flame and her footsteps, but something sure seems to be communicated. The Zorua lets go of Dimitri's pack, only to hop over to Hafren.... and to transform into a copy of her, although a copy with a Zorua tail instead of the standard Marowak tail.]

[Immediately, the mimic tries to copy the dancing that Hafren is doing, although not really that well - there's a lot of looking over to her as she slows down her pace again. Except...]

[Then another Zorua jumps into the circle, and becomes another Alolan Marowak with a fluffy tail. Followed by another. And another.]

[The camera stabilizes, somewhat.]

...The situation is escalating.

If anyone could think of a way to help, that would be appreciated. Please.

[It's another day, and another Lance appearance on the gear. This time, thankfully, he doesn't look so harried. He's also inside, in what looks to be a studio of some sort. Lance is also not wearing his cape today. Perhaps he has decided it is just Better that way, perhaps he has lost his appetite for capes after the Braviary Incident. We can only speculate.]

Good morning.

Today I'd like to give you a small update on the incident with the strange new variant of Braviary. First of all, of course, I'd like to extend my gratitude to all those that helped capture these pokemon. I'm glad to announce that all the dangerous ones have been cleared from our regions, and are currently being studied by the League.

Unfortunately, we cannot say much yet about why these seemed so violent, but we have made a discovery. It seems this variant of Braviary is actually one that we believed to be extinct. It used to roam the ancient region of Hisui, which is modern day Sinnoh, but had not been seen for centuries. We do not yet know why they have so suddenly reappeared, nor why it's happened so far from their original region, but we're excited to learn that it seems they were not so extinct after all. For now, we've decided to name this variant of Braviary the Hisuian Braviary, and your pokedexes have been updated to reflect this.

Finally, I'd just like to say--

[He pauses for a moment, looking straight at the camera.]

I fart butts.

[Wait, what.

There is some commotion, some murmuring from behind the camera, and then suddenly a yell. The camera whips around, recording something off set and, uh, there is another Lance there? This one is wearing a cape and gesturing angrily at the other Lance.

The camera moves back to the capeless Lance, who suddenly burst out laughing, and then, with a soft pop, turns into two strange white foxes. They giggle as they shoot out of frame, there is some yelling, and then the camera cuts off.]


OOC: In case it isn't clear, today's event will feature a swarm of Hisuian Zorua, who are intent on causing trouble for your characters by playing tricks on them. Their favourite trick seems to be turning into people and making them say things they would not ordinarily say.

After this swarm, Hisuian Zorua will be added to the general availability lists, as well as become available as a starter for new characters. It will also now be possible to evolve them into Hisuian Zoroark by levelling them up to level 30.

[ sandalphon had been recovering as well as everyone else who fought the braviary. with bumps and bruises, but nothing life threatening. he would've liked it that way. he liked the peace and quiet that came with travelling. but now?

now he wished for death.

the feed turned on to see sandalphon buried in what looked to be a mountain of milcery, clearly trying to hold himself back from screaming some kind of profanity. he wasn't even around moomoo farms, for astrals' sake!!! despite the weird angle, his single word came out as a deep, vicious growl. ]

[The video shows Mirabel sitting in the grass, holding the Pokegear up where everyone can see. She gives a grin - but something seems kind of off about it. She flicks her hair back with one hand.]

Ohh, look at me, I'm Mirabel and my hair is so soft~

[Wait what. Mirabel snickers and continues:]

And I looooveee helping people, it's so weird! Yeah, total weirdo, am I right? And I love singing, and dancing, like I'm sooooo good at those things!

[There's another "Mirabel" voice that comes from off screen:]

Are you... trying to insult me?

[Another Mirabel pops into the feed, there's two of them! One of them looks a little annoyed, while the other one is still grinning.]

Yeah! Yeah, I was! Totally got you! Should've seen the look on your face!

... I don't think you've got this insulting thing down at all.

[Had your day ruined by one of those wily little critters? You might enjoy seeing one of the little monsters held up by the scruff of its neck in front of the Pokégear. Or not, considering it doesn't look particularly alarmed or contrite. If anything, it looks bored.

Even getting shaken twice by an angry pirate is not enough to change that.]


This asshole pretended to be me to dine and dash, threw my apartment keys at a Spearow, stole SID's emotional support scarf and called Nurse Joy ugly.


[Unimpressed by this litany of accusations, the Zorua yawns. After a few moments, Ash sighs and allows his arm to drop down, though his grip remains tight.]

[Since his arrival, Aymeric has made a point of mostly avoiding text-based communication. Aside from a brief moment in which he had been entirely unable to compose himself, he hasn't felt any need to attempt to navigate the strange new device. It's far easier to figure out the camera and talk into that, after all.

So maybe the post that appears is odd enough for that reason. But there's also the fact that the text itself is... Well, it's hardly becoming of the well-spoken, and well-mannered Lord Commander.]

Hail and well met, my dudes.
I have a confession for the masses collected on this Intertwined Web. I have spent the bulk of my last few days composing a collection of poems. Though the concept of confessing any ounce of feeling goes starkly against my moral code, I have deemed it inappropriate to continue to subject my buds to my unending pining.

And so I give you the product of many hours of work.

[The key smash actually goes on for some time, before being interrupted by a series of what appears to be accidentally recorded audio clips. The noise can only be described as chaos as a man's voice, likely Aymeric's, attempts to command his Pokemon to do... something. The final piece of audio is at least relatively clear -- ]

[This clip ends with a rather shrill screech, before it comes to an abrupt end. With it, the spammed messages also draws to a close, leaving Aymeric's feed almost unnervingly quiet considering the noise he'd only just kicked up.]

[The feed opens on a room at the Goldenrod Pokemon Center. Radley is standing there, smirking, looking grungy instead of his usual clean clothes. His hair is a greasy mess and there's dirt on his face.]

What's up, boyos? Why don't we do something rad tonight and go tear up the town? Let's show everybody who's boss! We can do it with bicycles instead of motorcycles! Ya work with what you've got, and I'm still top dog in this town!

[Evie warbles in bewildered confusion. Evan growls a bit.

A second Radley suddenly appears in the feed, annoyed and looking like his usual self. He slaps his forehead and pushes the imposter off-camera.]

There's a Zorua loose in the Pokemon Center!

[He also vanishes from the screen as he tries to wrestle with the fake him on the floor. His Eevees rush to help try to pin the Zorua down.]
