[The feed opens to a man on Route 29. He's wearing a strange jumpsuit with the name "Stantz" printed on the chest. While he's noticeably shivering, he's smiling and perks up even more when he notices that he's live.]

Hey so this thing does have communication features! This is amazing! I know people have been working on trying to make a workable video phone for awhile now but it looks like it's working perfectly, and so portable too! I've only been in this dimension for a few hours now but everything I learn about it is just amazing!

[Ray is about to continue before there's a gust of cold wind. He shivers even harder and goes to cover his face with one arm.]

So uh, does anyone know where the nearest Hotel is? This place is great but I don't want to freeze to death out here.

This Phantump that has chosen to follow me is an extraordinary specimen. The spirit itself seems to be a Class-3 free floating vapor, with a non-defined body and small, nub-like appendages that resemble arms. According to this PokéDex device, these creatures are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died in the forest--an example of a Class-5 possession. The childish nature of the specimen I have on hand may confirm this description. Until I can fully communicate with it, I have taken to calling it "Faraday", after physicist Michael Faraday.

I am hoping to be able to reconfigure the PokéDex device so that it will be able to translate the spirit's vocalizations. Much of the technology I have encountered seems to be extremely advanced and unfamiliar, though I am confident that I will be able to engineer some sort of solution.

[Then, after a few minutes--]

I study ghosts.

[Another pause.]

It occurs to me that I don't know where I am.

i dont really know whats going on here but apparently theres a lot of people who talk on this network thing, so. question:

is this another one of those "cosmic forces try to make me embrace the meaning of christmas" situations because let me tell you I am not a fan of those

either way, at least this dimension is pretty alright so far. no ones trying to kill me. i do have this giant cockroach thing following me around that wont leave me alone though. it keeps trying to climb up on my shoulder for some reason? i dont have any of my gear with me so i cant bust it, but it hasn't hurt me yet so i guesssss its ok for now :-/

AND this place has a ferry; i'm not walking around in this weather, and hey- christmas on a cruise ship? bound to be some good parties going on here :-D

[There's a lengthy pause after this message. Then:]

... and has anyone seen a couple of guys wearing jumpsuit uniforms, with red patches on the shoulders that look like a "no smoking" symbol over a ghost instead of a cigarette? because if so let me know. if i'm here the other three are probably here somewhere

[ Romelle decided to find an out-of-the-way grove to set up camp for the night and figured that she might as well send out a message. She hasn't seen any familiar faces yet, but that doesn't mean that they're not around. Her Growlithe curls on her lap to keep her warm while she sets up her 'gear.

Mumbling: ] The red light is on, so it must be... Oh, hello! My name is Romelle and I'm a new "Trainer." I am not quite sure what that means and that woman rushed me out of the house before really answering any of my questions.

[ She huffs a little. It was rather rude. ]

Anyway. If anyone out there has advice or information for a new Trainer, I would greatly appreciate it.

[ She gives the camera a small and slightly self-conscious wave before turning off her 'gear. ]
