Just in case anyone is curious, no, I have nothing to do with the giant birds that have appeared recently.

Though they are very spectacular. If a little... intense. It makes it rather difficult to get close enough to make a proper study!

First… Glow? [Video]

[So… you know Route 31, right? Nice quiet forest path, cute little pond, entrance to Dark Cave… way too many ledges?

A couple of days after the Snorunt leave their blessings (or “blessings,” in some cases…), the PokéGear feed will open up to… a yelp! A young, very feminine, oh-so dignified yelp, and a camera showing lots of rolling dirt, grass, trees, a rock or two, flashes of the winter noon sky, and occasionally a ball of pink coat and LONG moon white curls! (Hopefully no one in the audience has a fear of heights or vertigo.)

Thankfully, the fall only lasts a few seconds, and the audio of a groan after a few seconds lets everyone know both the PokéGear and its owner still function. Well, at least the camera does. The bad news… well, when Allura attempts to inspect device, everyone gets a good look at her mud-splattered face, AND at least three small branches jammed into her hair!]

Oh no, please don’t be broken!

[ for once, sandalphon doesn't need to be pushed into asking the network. its a question he's been sitting on ever since the new year. it was getting closer and closer to the time where his life turned upside down. he knows he needs an outlet for all this grief...

but how?

the angel couldn't help but remember jinx's words about reaching out. as sandalphon weakly stared at his poketch screen, open to post a voice recording, he found himself unable to speak. he had to post, or else he knows he'll start to feel like he's drowning in his own despair. instead of forcing it, he switches to text, and with shaky hands begins to type. ]

What do people do to honor the dead? I've heard of some customs, but not all of them are clear. I'd like some direction for an old friend of mine.

[ 'an old friend' was putting it lightly. sandalphon still didn't know the right words to describe his relationship with lucifer. ]

[This is again posted during the night. It includes two photographs, clearly taken during the day, both slightly blurry.

The first is of a group of Jennies sitting down to lunch. They look relaxed and happy, chatting to each other. The angle of the photograph and also the fact that there are some leaves present in it give the impression that someone took it from hiding.

The second is of two Joys while they are working at the poke centre. Just two Joys working, nothing special going on.

In both cases, the Joys and Jennies in the photographs have been circled in red.]

So, are we just not going to talk about this?

Morgan seems to have returned to her homeland. That, or she's discovered an impressive new method for becoming invisible in the last week or so. I suspect the former.

I'd like to hope that perhaps she may learn more about her past, now that she may be among those who knew her before her arrival here.

VIDEO - [BACKDATE - AUG 8]

[Jonathan appears to be holding something- very carefully, very gingerly, from where he's perched outside the Temple. Armin of course, intends to go right back in- he expects nothing less- but right now, he's simply got to share the news!]

Good day everyone! I've more vital reasons to be posting this of course, but I must share the experience that Armin and I just had- it was undescribable...we were exploring the deepest depths of the temple that we could possibly manage, and then there they were-

Massive! Far larger than any typical Relicanth, with cheekbone points so long that they were practically a moustache! They were wise with age, and spoke even into our minds...

[Maybe? Possibly? Jonathan seems pretty sure about it!

Anyway-] More importantly, I was gifted with this incredibly old tablet- its language seems unlike anything I've seen here, and I would very much like to have it properly preserved somehow if any have advice on how best to do such a thing.

[Somewhere in the middle layer of the Lost Temple, Ardyn decided casual tomb robbery deserved video documentation.]

How very nostalgic--I haven't explored ruins for the sake of exploration itself in some two thousand years, at least. Why, I could almost learn to enjoy such an excursion. [With his free hand, he was tossing a smooth red gemstone to himself casually.]

I wonder how terribly cursed we might be to liberate an artifact or two. It certainly seems like a poor decision to make. [Said with a less than charitable smile that might indicate he could not have cared less. The gem fell into his hand again and laid there, Ardyn turning it over a few times with faint interest.]

...Oh, well. I'm keeping it regardless, it's even my favorite color.

[Wow, those sure are three sketches of Fitzroy Maplecourt! The lines are clear and crisp, as he goes about stretches before practicing some acrobatics. There's a few pokemon in the margins, of course, but it's clear where Leonardo's focus lies, and it's definitely on the curves of muscle on display.]

level 3 • video

The video opens on a forest after dark, the shot centered on a small wooden shrine. Laid out on the shrine in offering is a green stone and some food, hopefully something tasty enough to appease the shrine's guardian. Offscreen you can hear a voice asking, "Are you filming? Are you ready??"

Rainer's voice answers, "I'm ready, I've got it--!"

The first voice, feminine and younger sounding, replies, "Good, because here it comes!"

There is a blur of motion as something small and green appears, approaching the shrine, but just as it's about to come into focus...

...Rainer's grip on the gear slips, unbeknownst to her, and her thumb covers the camera lens. Sorry to all you folks out there hoping to catch a glimpse of Celebi in its natural habitat. This is what you get when you make the woman from a fantasy world with no technology hold the camera. At least the audio is still good, and you can hear four feminine voices OOH-ing and AHH-ing over this miraculous sight. Shame you don't get to see it.

[ this time, sandalphon willingly activates the video features. he needs answers, and he needs them now.

it’s clear from the start of the video that aside from the new starly perched on his head and the new backdrop of cherrygrove, he was clearly very, very distraught. it honestly looked like he hadn’t slept for the night, with disheveled hair and slight bags under his eyes. aside from the fact that he’s never really seen an aurora borealis, the stars in the sky were bringing back really, really bad memories. he’s at least thankful that the little bird pokémon was on his head in the first place— his presence made it a lot more easier to articulate his emotions without screaming his lungs out.

yeah, he’s not taking the entire thing very well. ]

Can someone please explain the phenomena in the sky?! Those seekers only made me even more confused and I can’t wrap my head around anything they said, aside from their Lost Temple or whatever nonsense they were spouting...

[ the starly chirps a couple times on his head, as if to say calm down, it’s nothing too serious. sandalphon only gives him an annoyed look before continuing. ]

[Uh oh. Dimitri is opening this video with a slight close up of one of his bastard smiles. It doesn't often show up these days, because he's usually too busy trying to get his life together, or dying because he just spent 2 mil on a Dreepy egg, but regardless. There it is.]

[He is also wearing his armor and cloak - why not go all out for the last badge of Johto after all - and does the fur in that cloak have eyes...? Wait, no, it's just a Tiny (tm) baby of an alolan Rattata clinging there.]

One Felix Hugo Fraldarius seems to believe that I cannot do a successful and varied battle with my team. I plan to prove him wrong.

[From the side, it almost sounds as if Felix might be yelling something like "THAT IS NOT WHAT I SAID"... That is Felix, right? Nah. Probably just the wind. Either way, Dimitri finishes adjusting the camera from where it is - is someone holding it? - and pulls away. With him not taking up the entirety of the screen, it's clear to see that he's in the inside of the Blackthorn Gym. All the dragon-type statues kind of.... give it away.]

[And what is Dimitri going to do here? It's obvious as he runs off to the position right there opposite of Clair, and lets loose one of his Raticate - a lovely boy with particularly stuffed cheeks.]

[He's a scraped up little rat as he races back to Dimitri, who in turn races back to the camera to hold up his purple menace. Both trainer and rats look exceptionally pleased.]

And the victory is ours! I hope this was a suitable display to all of you, showing that even the same Paliens can have very different tactics and methods of attack! Never underestimate your opponent, no matter how small or common.

[The Alolan Rattata in his cloak fur squeaks and raises her little rat hands up triumphantly, despite not having taken part of any of this.]

[Gremlin also raises his paws up - and accidentally kicks the camera off. Whups. Don't worry, it's fine, Dimitri will respond to any responses... Eventually. After he rubs this in Felix's face.]

[The network gets a StaryuTube link. The feed opens with Zuke walking down the streets of Goldenrod City, there was a small riff in the backdrop of a rock song. Zuke is joined at the hip by his Rillaboom, Gardevior, and his shiny Toxitricity. Heading toward a telephone pole, he slaps on a flyer and staples it. You had a look from behind his hair, but then he turned around.

Now the flyer could be visible. It read:]

[Wow, another perky teenage Japanese(?) girl! What a novelty. Here in a setting where everyone is by default generically Japanese, and there is an entire participatory subcategory of youths in the local lifestyle-sport that is just called 'miniskirt.' And yet here she is! No one could have seen this one coming!]

He-llo! I hate to be a downer, but I just got here, and I was wondering if anyone could prove that we're not dead. Not that death seems very likely, given what I know about it, but I tried asking the locals and the nonsapiens life about it anyway after I found out what was going on, and all I learned is that for some reason they didn't really like the question.

That being the case, any evidence in either direction would be useful! And this is just a formality, so anecdotal evidence is okay, too.

By the way, since I have your attention, I'm sure you won't mind telling me how long I have to walk on order to be able to buy some new clothes that aren't what's in my bag, right?
